Are the Liberals on the wane? (2)

A lot of Canadians seem to think so, or so it appears from the election results.

I think the biggest problem for the Liberals are their patterns of lies and deceit.

The Liberals have a serious credibility problem, that will be very difficult if not impossible to overcome.

Well, not yet. I think a death spiral would take more than this, but they are certainly on a precipice. If they can't get their finances together and can't pick a leader who can connect with the voters, they'll be ready to fall apart. If they do these things, however, even to a moderate amount, they will probably win the next election. The country wants to vote Liberal, but the Liberals haven't given them any reason to for a long time.

I don't think it would take much to win back those soft Conservative votes, or a fair number of soft NDP votes either. Get a leader with a little charisma and use him/her to kickstart a new, people oriented fundraising drive. The question, is it possible to find a Liberal leader that anyone will trust, let alone be inspired by? Their slimy, weaselly ways are too well known. Some outsider needs to swoop in now and play the reformer. The role that Ignatieff attempted to play and failed, and now no longer qualifies for.

Pain. Sidescroll pains me. It makes me feel pain. Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry? Take the sidescroll away.

So no one, Tobin, McKenna, or Manley from the Liberal "A" team wants to go for the brass ring. I wonder why. At first glance it doesn't look very good for Canada's natural governing pary.

So what's the "B" team look like:
