Let say the Layton and the NDP had 140 seats in the House of Commons,
The CPC had 80,
The Christian Heritage Party had 62 &
The new Western First Party had 26 seats.
The CPC had kept the WFP in check for the best of Canada, the CHP is a far Rightwing party that believes in the Death Sentence, Pro Life.
For most part the CPC has aided the the NDP but now the NDP has tried to push through a new Budget that would see Welfare spending increase 3 fold over the next two years as well as bailing out the Big Three to the tune of unknown Billions. To pay for this Layton says taxes will go up 2.1% each of the next 4 years...and the country will go into debt no more then 75 Billion over the next three years....which means the debt load will be carried by our Grandchilderns Childern. He will also bring in his 'Cap & Trade' plan that raises the price of gas and home heating oil by 15 cents a litre.
With things so bad in the USA Obama becomes even more of a protectionist and tighten tarifs on all Canadian Goods.
The three Rightwing Parties join together and bring down Layton and the NDP and bring in the Death Penaty, cancel a Women's Right to Choose....what would Layton do?
