U.S. showdown with North Korea planned for Sunday Dec. 7

Yes, the United States and North Korea are preparing for battle on Sunday.

On the soccer pitch.

The final of the FIFA Women's Under-20 World Cup will see the two teams battle for the world title in Santiago, Chile.

You can watch the humiliation of the United States on Sunday afternoon at 4:20 EST streamed live on video at CBCsports.ca, or if you have digital cable you can watch it live on the CBC's "Bold" channel.

If you are reading this, you have just proved once again how annoying signatures/tag lines are. Support their abolition.

The US will be out to avenge the loss, three weeks ago, of their female Under-17 team to North Korea in the final of the world championship for that age bracket.

Only half an hour to go.

If you miss it, you can see it on tape delay late tonight on CBC TV. Check local listings.

P.S.: Germany beat France for the Bronze Medal.

Perhaps you were hoping I had stopped using an annoying tag line. You were wrong; you're reading it now. Why not email a moderator to demand that signature/tag lines be abolished forthwith?

How was the game M Spector? It seems unfair to make Americans compete at anything where their technology and money count for very little... on the flip side, the North Koreans are in their element.

North Korea was surprisingly lacklustre, and lost 2-1.

Fidel

Not bad for a country with a population the size of Yemen, Ghana, Taiwan, or Romania. USSA had better mind that sports gap
