Twas the night before Christmas, with Harper shut out
Dion and his family were milling about;
Stone carvings were placed on the mantle with care
So that Chrétien could guard against burglars there;
Layton and Bob Rae were spooning at last
Old NDP battles long-gone in the past;
Ignatieff in bathrobe, Dion with backpack
Were settling down for a nice midnight snack;
Broadbent had put up lights earlier that day
Duceppe, il chantait dans une chambre séparée;
When all of a sudden the media showed
Shivering wet on the porch as it snowed;
"Who's running Canada?", cried they in vain
And cried they again and again and again;
For no single person was clearly prime minister
But all other options were terribly sinister;
The voters were tired of Harp and his vices
Of crass ideology in time of crisis;
They wanted to hand him a little pink slip
But first-past-the-post led to dictatorship;
And so, Chrétien, Broadbent, Ignatieff, Rae,
LeBlanc, Layton, Duceppe, Dion joined to say:
"We wish you a holiday filled with good cheer,
You won't have to deal with that Harper next year!"

Well I think this poem has something for everyone. Even Conservatives can find at least somewhat amusing the images of Layton spooning with Rae, and Chrétien defending the coalition with carvings :)
