ACTION ALERT: PRO CHOICE COUNTER-PROTEST TODAY!

COME SUPPORT A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE

The Gender Awareness Project (GAP), an anti-choice organization, is
holding a "silent protest" tomorrow. They will be putting up offensive
displays at Harbord & St. George TODAY (Wednesday January 28)
comparing abortion to genocide and lynchings.

Pro-choicers on and off campus will be holding a counter protest to
support women's right to their bodies and CHOICE!

The counter-protest is at Harbord and St. George from 1-2PM.

Want to join us?
Meet us at the Centre for Women and Trans People at 12:15PM
OR
Meet us at the Graduate Students Union (16 Bancroft Ave.) at 12:30PM to
collect buttons and posters, and we will go as a pro-choice contingent.

Bring your own posters and noisemakers if you can!

bump. just saw this way down the list of active topics. others might be interested. this in toronto, I take it? (a person from any other city would have specified. As TO is the centre of the universe, it's not necessary :P)

I think the posters go up today; the protest is tomorrow.

wait, maybe not. I thought that because of the time of the OP, but now it's changed to 5:46 PM today, so who knows what's going on. Doesn't the OP time reflect the time the OP was made? Or is it the time of the most recent post in the tread?

Yeah, it's annoying - if I edit the opening post, then the time of the opening post changes to the time I edited it! It's really stupid. I only edited it to add "Toronto" to the title.

The protest was today, Wed Jan 28. I'm on some listserves and will post any reports of how the counter-protest went.
