Canada's Children are in dire need of help

I have read one article after another on the dire conditions for children in Canada as many go hungry and homeless.  And Vancouver is the worst as children are forced into prostitution to try to feed themselves and there is little support for mom as daycare costs to high and availability almost Nil.  Women and children are being forced to the streets and often children end up on kiddy stroll a popular place for people into sex with children as mom must work for at least two years before her and children can receive token money as not enough to survive.  These children need help and there is none coming as its the fifth year in a row and conditions are even worst and just another child dies last week  and there is little hope for change.  I am looking for solutions to this problem and believe someone may have some ideas as to what can be done like possibly start up a non profit and go around the world for help for Vancouver's wee one as it is beyond belief how children are forced to eat garbage and food that is not safe yet its promoted by government. 
So any ideas as know there are organizations helping kids from third world countries with similar problems and possibly this could also be the solution to help these poor kids that are in such dire need.
