Sorry to post this and the rest of the opinion piece might be even worse but they need to be exposed.
And if the French-speaking forces had shown as much determination over the actual battle as they have over its replica, perhaps they would have had a better result. But just as at Agincourt, Waterloo and the rest, the French lost.On a larger scale the French tend to lose to the Germans as well as the British. Which is why in 1870 their leaders fled to England and why in 1914 and then again in 1940 the British and their imperial cousins had to lend a helping hand.
Actually during the Second World War the Royal Navy was obliged to destroy the French fleet because most experts assumed it would be surrendered to the Nazis. A lovely maritime scene that could be re-enacted.
Or a re-enactment of the collaboration of Vichy France with the Germans, when French civil police handed over Jewish children to the occupiers who explained that they'd only asked for the adults at that stage.
I know the Sun is notorious for this but that's why they should be brought to attention. The people we need to influence read these rags and that's why I do to understand their conditioning.

Well, I think my first comment was very insightful. Too bad you don't, though I am not surprised.
Secondly, I find it highly fucking non-amusing that the 2 major colonialist peoples are fighting over a re-enactment of who got to destroy the peoples present and to colonize a land that was not, and is still not, theirs. But I was being polite and considerate by not saying so sooner.
Thirdly, I have been waiting for this thread to reach a 100, because of its obnoxious thread title, say nothing of nasty content. I could have dropped in every 10 posts making nothing comments, to speed it on its way faster I suppose, but again, I was being polite and thought I would just let colonial mentality people trivialize amongst themselves, and not bother with it until it reached 100. And only then would note I was glad it was closing time.
However, you decided to bash me, and there ya now have all my commentary. Happy?

As stated earlier many First Nations people take part in the event so your second point is irreverent at best.
