Canada food safety approach versus Obama food safety approach.

I have a link to how Obama will do food safety.  I think  that more and more, Jack Layton should inform the public that Obama is doing things "the NDP way".

Remember that Harper cannot afford government staff for food inspection. (He uses accountants to replace the inspectors that retire!)

I have to say that I am very impressed by how much of a left turn Obama has made.

I did not think the powers behind the throne would allow him to do it.

It seems the economic downturn broke the power of the  the right wing religion  for a while down south.

Unfortunately it is more in command up here than ever.  The coup against dion means that both liberal and conservative can easily be seen as right wing twin apes by everybody.

I think it is the NDP job to show this.  A mask video might be effective.

Jack could note that Obama has turned to the left in the USA and that the coalition that he signed with DION would have brought a similar turn to Canada.

Then the mask. You can have an actor with a harper mask debating an iggie actor in a mask.  Then when they are done, iggie takes off the mask to reveal another harper mask underneath.

I believe such an advert would be very useful right now while Iggie is still trying to define himself.

Great Idea! I had another thing in mind but I might just take up the challenge of making that! Wink

The Obama approach leaves something to be desired as well.

Mr. Monsanto In Charge of Food Safety? Seriously, Obama?

Maybe the NDP could start by mounting realistic campaigns in rural ridings.

Why don't you join up and show us how it's done in yours? Wink

It's not a bad idea.  But, I'm following the lead of some of my poly-foodie mentors and becoming non-partisan when it comes to food and rural issues.

The NDP, if interested, knows where I am.  But, sadly, its the Cons who shake my hand and ask my opinion.

Andrea Horwath seems to have made a good start.  Let's see what she produces from here on out.
