Obama: out of Iraq by 2011, and no claim on Iraqi territory or resources

I'm watching CBC-TV coverage of Obama's visit today to Iraq and he is speaking to a military base there - CBC's Rosemary Barton just said that in Obama's speech, special emphasis was made that US troops will begin packing by 2010 and will be out by the following year, and that the US will make no claim to any Iraqi territory or resources. That's rather astonishing considering the US built their biggest embassy ever in Iraq. So, is this all BS, or is Obama sincere? Who knows, maybe only time will tell.

fogbrella

and not only have they built their completely self-sustaining, "biggest embassy" there, in the heart of Baghdad - with walls 5 meters thick -- but more  http://bit.ly/forget_US_exitting_Iraq

Mr. Obama is either lying OR he's prepped to spend hundreds of Billions to pull completely OUT

No word of an "I'm sorry for the mess, despite this all being (as MR. Harper calls it) a 'mistake'... " ?

The president also offered a message to the Iraqi people, saying the United States "pursues no claim on your territory or your resources."
