Awesome to read - in Martha Lauzen's research - that 70% of North America's major daily film critics are men, and that each of them writes almost twice as many pieces as his female colleagues. No wonder male-directed misogynist films remain acclaimed as "masterpieces" and so-called "chick films" rarely get sufficiently funded, filmed, promoted or screened...
