CBC's Disappearing Male

I won't comment on the subject matter, but sticking with the theme of this forum I just want to say that it is about time there was some publicity on the issue of "endocrine disrupting chemicals". After all, it would spell the end of natural reproduction [sexual] for humans, so it is a big issue.

The CBC admitted right off the bat that this issue has been ignored by the media.

In other words, it was kept quiet by those who have the powers to pull these types of strings.

About the theme of this forum - "media and what they are telling us" - it seems to me that we are getting more admissions on issues that used to be kept quiet. It does coincide with Pres. Obama coming to power...

Another one was that the CIA had a hand in deposing the "democratically elected leader of Afghanistan, in 1954". It was widely known, but never officially admitted, and now Obama makes a press release on it, probably to help soften the Iranian view of America.

Obama admits US involvement in the 1953 coup which overthrew the government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh.
He was the PDP leader, socialism was going well in Afghanistan, people were happy.... oil was nationalised [and that brought the CIA]

The issue, iirc, is the birth control pill, our sanitation systems and the general design of pharmaceuticals.

We're turning the world's water into a cocktail of progesterone, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and statins.

At least the fish will be happy.

Don't expect any help from Obama.

I'm not really getting what the focus of this thread is.  Is it about the media suppressing this story, or is it about the story itself?  I feel like it's probably going to turn into the latter mostly, so maybe I should move it to the environmental justice forum?  I'll leave it here for now and see. :)

Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word.

Benjamin: Yes, sir.
Mr. McGuire: Are you listening?
Benjamin: Yes, I am.
Mr. McGuire: Plastics.

to round out a wonderfully eclectic theme:
Mossadegh was the elected leader of Iran.
Oil was not an issue in Afghanistan
And if Homo sapiens' tendency to overpopulation is slowed, the other 3,000,000 or so species can only benefit.

I am using this forum {"Media - What we are being told and by whom"} to point out that the media was suppressing the story.

This topic is just one example, and I will see you in the Env.Justice forum to discuss plastics, etc.

This thread could blossom into a wider discussion about propaganda and mis-leading the public, something the media has done in the past and continues to do. And, that the media didn't come up with that idea themselves - so who is telling the media what to print/show/tell?

By the way, this very forum is pure gold because we get to expose the lies... now if only more people would be willing to spot examples and post them here, we could be on a path to enlightenment.
