Acorn Bill of Attainder Backfires

Digby has a reference to a really cute thing. The Senate attack on ACORN is a bill of attainder (a law attacking 1 person) attempt. The US constitution bans bills of attainder.

If the bill is constitutional it must apply to all organizations who violate it, in this case accusations of fraud against the gevernment.

That's the whole military industrial complex.

The climb down on this could be a wondrous thing to see.
