2000 - 2010 Decoding the Decade - Buzzwords
I think I will recuse myself from this discussion.
Edit: While I think this discussion is interesting, could we possibly find a different OP story that doesn't smell of anti-semitism?
The fact must be confronted that most of the Internet is in Jewish hands (Google, Yahoo, Facebook)...
Tactics of Desperation: Using false accusations of "anti-semitism" as a weapon to silence criticism of Israel's behaviour

Was this thread about Israel? I thought it was about etymology. Of course, I like to bring my Israel apologia into every thread to which I am able.
I need a bailout.
Interesting.
While this did make my spidey-senses tingle:
The fact must be confronted that most of the Internet is in Jewish hands (Google, Yahoo, Facebook),
the rest of the paragraph seemed to fill in some context, even as it reads a teensy little bit tinfoil-hatty from time to time:
and, given the organisation and power of the Israeli Lobby in the US and Europe, the ability to monitor, tap and store infinite quantities of personal data as well as control access to certain information suddenly brings us face-to-face with the spectre of Orwellian mind-and-body control. The highly lucrative world of Google and others is a boon whose owners are Zionists. Google co-founder and billionaire Sergei Brin is a big supporter financially of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, which just happens to fund Jews from the diaspora to settle in Israel. Blog and youtube sites considered harmful have been "disappeared" without explanation. Anti-Zionist/ Jewish critique has been blocked as "hate promotion", and anti-Muslim/ Arab critique condoned as "freedom of speech".
But wait a second. Google. Facebook. Yahoo. They all have double Os in them. What could this MEAN?
Maybe we could prorogue this discussion about is-it-or-isn't-it anti-semitism (and sub-question, Is-Catchfire-or-isn't-he an Israel Apologist) and get back to Ground Zero.
That's a better list.
And where's "teabagging"? For oh so many reasons.
