Cao Cao's tomb found

For fans of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms",  the history and legends centered on the fall of the Han Dynasty and the Warring States Period of Chinese history, this is news indeed:

Who is your favorite person from this period?   I have to go with Zhuge Liang, with Guan Yu being a close second.

Jacob Richter

The actual history, the book account, or the KOEI games?  At least in the latter two, Liu Bei is underrated.

The translation I had-- from the stacks at London Public Library in thirty or so years, only I and three other people had taken out the volumes-- was from a British diplomat circa 1950's.   I think it lacked colour that the original story by Luo Guanshong probably had.

From what I can tell, the Koei game version used the Luo Guanshong story as a template for characters, which might be a lot like using Shakespeare as a template for a game on the War of the Roses.

It will be interesting to see forensics on the bones and interpretations of artifacts and see how much of the traditional stories are suported by this evidence.
