Conspiracy Theories or Resistance?

I don't blame Gnome Chomsky or any lefty who agrees with the Chomper that pursuing 9/11 "conspiracy" theory is a waste of time. Apparently Canadian-American Peter Dale Scott has acknowledged their differences and both of them simply agreeing to disagree. I find it odd though that Chomsky has made a career of correcting the political and historical record, but now has chosen to gloss over 9/11 and what is the most important event at the root cause of the phony global war on terror in these dangerous times. I don't understand Chomsky's point of view on this at all.

I tend to agree with the first comment below Sulehria's ZMag essay, and that it is a poorly thought out piece of writing:

The American inquisition's 9/11 narrative reeks of coverup from start to finish even moreso than the bogus Warren Commission's botched investigation. Those who label 9/11 truthers 'conspiracy theorists' and likening 9/11 to the JFK assassination are themselves forgetting that the last US government investigation of JFK's murder concluded that it probably was a conspiracy, and that Oswald probably did not act alone. The Warren Commission investigation was so full of holes that it necessitated subsequent investigations. But in this case, 9/11 Commission chair persons themselves are saying the Pentagon and CIA, FBI and Bush's kleptocrats were hiding information from the panel. Blame those guys, the two 'bipartisan' Commission chairs themselves for feeding the truth movement with much cause for concern that justice was not only not served, justice was mugged, and a phony global war on terror is the direct result.

Peter Dale Scott refers to Chomsky as having a structuralist view of America. Chomsky believes that US hawks are rational in what they do. PDS argues that US hawks are often irrational when it comes to domestic and foreign policies.

Howard Zinn said to PDS that recognizing division between the US ruling class and US rulers is bad politics.

PDS says that 9/11 is relevant to Canada and Canadians because US hawks have pulled Canada into their geopolitical strategy and policies for NATO terror in Central Asia. How can we not be concerned about the false pretext for dragging Canada into a phony globo war on terror? If Canada had no enemies before, we do now.

Now a desperate thirdworld humanity can hate Canadians for our freedumbs, too. Contrary to what non-truthers would have us believe, 9/11 is still serious business, and especially so for Canada.
