So, I had a response for Unionist but Maysie closed it, I'll see if I can recollect.
Unionist, until Quebecois women are equal to Quebecois men I'm not going to take you seriously.
You have bigger battles, my friend.
To me, this is all just a ruse. Much ado about nothing but I do hear you loud and clear. Is less than 1% of Quebecs population worth this attention? That says alot unspoken.
It feels weird arguing this with Unionist so I'm going to quit now. I mostly read but I'm perplexed.

Banning of Niqabs, Burkas a Slippery Slope

"Whatever happened to Canadians' famous tolerance for diversity? You have to wonder, given the proposed Quebec law banning the wearing of a niqab or burka to give or receive government services - and the positive reactions to the idea from Canadians everywhere."
What 'famous tolerance for diversity'?
like most white supremacist settler states...
That notoriously 'Canadian' trait should be categorized under 'taken-for-granted assumption'. I've seen government sponsored documents in Latin America that tell the countries whose lands are destroyed by Canadian mining countries that our country is the best at diversity. This great lie sneaks through our participation of abuses of indigenous people in both Canada and Latin America (and I am certain of other autocthonous peoples elsewhere) and helps legitimate our economic and political superiority with lies of a progressive cultural superiority.
