What if the Tea Party ruled? Imagine a land, let's call it Glennbeckistan, where white, patriarchal, religiously zealous, Tea Party-type patriots hold a super-majority in both houses of the legislature, sit in the governor's mansion, and control most local governments. It's a place so out of sync with the rest of the nation that states' rights and even secession are always on the agenda. Yes you can very well say that. Even the more moderate elements of an extremist element are still extreme. A "moderate extremist" is a bit of an oxymoron (you think?) and those are not my words; they belong too Morris Dees, chief trial counsel for the Southern Poverty Law Center. Still I think the article is well written enough to put a little more light on the subject of the religious doctrine of Christian militias in the USA we are talking about here.
I liked and agree with this statement:
