Charest--Big Hair, Big Crook

http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Security+firm+gets+unwanted+exposure... I like how you can get a permit to carry a gun, if you know the right people and donate money to the right party.

Hi Triphop, welcome to babble.

Just a friendly tip: when you start a new thread, it's best that the title of the thread be about the story you want to talk about. If you'd like me to change it to something else let me know. Sadly, you can't edit the opening post, so many here leave it empty except for maybe a few dots, then post in post #1.

And a good thing is to quote a brief section from the article, just to give us a sense of what's going on.

Happy babbling!

aka Mycroft

I am amazed that any government led by a protege of Brian Mulroney could possibly be accused of corruption.

I don't think Charest should be called a crook - he has not been charged with anything, let alone been found guilty.

However, his management of the Quebec government is increasingly becoming a liability for his party and since it is unlikely he can recover, he should do the right thing and resign so that his party can elect a replacement and give it a chance of winning the next election.
