Quote:
An Edmonton Police Officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has been charged with Second Degree Murder of his wife. Police was called to a South Edmonton home early Saturday morning after neighbours heard shots. Police found the body of a woman. About an hour later they arrested Tarith Sehmbi in another location. Tarith Sehmbi is a seven year member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Since a policeman was involved the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) was called in to investigate the incident.

Poor oppressed RCMP.

Cueball, while I appreciate the politics behind your position about deliberately putting the word "pigs" in thread titles, you know I have to change it.

Plus, "sexist pig" was the very least of this asshole's faults.

Well, is the title being changed because he is a "sexist pig", or just a "pig", "pig" in terms of being a cop? My view is the fact that his being a "pig" "pig" is unrelated to the fact that he is "sexist pig" and since I am not identifying a police officer as a "pig", because he is a "pig", but because he is a "male chauvanist pig", I think the title should stand.

Am I to take it that if he were not a "pig" "pig" but an unemployed person, I could call him a "pig", as in a "male chauvanist pig" since unemployed people are not specially protected under the Rabble editorial policy which excludes people with who are members of the state law enforcement agencies from being called "pigs" in thread titles, because its "dehumanizing" and "anti-labour"?

There are conversations going on right now, and a few responses from various rabble personnel will be forthcoming in the next few days and next week. Please stand by.

And if I haven't already said this, I'm really glad you're back, Cueball. Hope to see you at the babble gathering on the 22nd. Smile
