The numbers are in from the US and new homes sales are down considerably reducing demand for lumber. This is major as government injects billions into industry only to see the payback being put on hold.

I came across this article on the Lumber Industry in BC in 2006, and the distress it is in and how Industry ships its precious lumber, very precious at a loss that tax payers pick up and with the cost of lumber going up because of the rape in the industry going on makes you wonder why in the world would Campbell want to send BC's lumber to China, subsidized lumber no less. I for the life of me can't figure out why BC would take the risks of an Oil spill and whats with the Gateway, gateway to what? China dosen't want our stuff, well maybe asbestoss just read China now takes since banned in Canada and our Natual Resources or unatural as China now is the Chief owner of Canada's tar sands.
