How many of the remaining alleged hijackers are:
1. still alive?
2. perhaps never even boarded the four passenger planes in question on 9/11?
3. perhaps even murdered and identities stolen some time before 9/11?

duh..our society is run by war criminals. And it has been for a long time. After WW2, it was truman/churchil and the 'allied' leadership who forced division of Europe/Germany, and created iron curtain and 'cold war' outta thin air, in defiance of Yalta agreement made by Joe Stalin; but... BUT! guess who paid child support for the west's coldwar bastard child? Who was forced to pay support? And paid and paid and paid until it fell like an exhausted miner. And we CELEBRATE the end of the Revolution on the publicly funded CBC, not to mention walltowall happy faces in the pigmedia!
They treat us like we stupid, and ....for example, Elisbeth May was being attacked for her lack of pro canada patriotism by some skinhead loudmouth the other day and instead of attacking lori goldstein (?) for his silly dishonesty, she whines she' 'loves canada so much she'd kiss it if it was a baby' or something utterly foolish. The rIGHTWING rules and the RIGHTWING reacts and the RIGHTWING are the problem, but ...they say the earth is flat, and it sure do look flat when you're out in a field. You gotta admit...

War criminals and freebooters...such has been the European contribution to global civilization. Yes, along way, we get Beatles, Mozart, Renoir...so we have to accept who the masters really are for if we look merely at the criminals and parasites...we never focus upon the what is the host. However, pointing this out, might be a useful exercise, as like in our discussion of fascism but it is not enough. We have to expose the lie in everyday language. For the lie has been going on so long, that even the liars themselves are not certain what is real. Furthermore, Canadians have been conditioned to accept the lies almost from birth and take it with to beyond the grave - why? Because, there is nobody standing up for truth and calling it as they see it...instead, there are thousands of whispers that form not a chorus but a chaotic assembly - a babble rather than a rabble. A population not a people. A mess of lines not a network.
I understand, sites like this one are trying to create what I am advocating but what is sorely lacking is either coordination and cooperation in the fostering of alternative spaces. Only, when the great mass of people see that there is an alternative then can be something point to as an alternative. That has been the great victory of the so-called RIGHTWING is that they have created the alternative that people can relate to - the market counterpoised against the paternalistic state. For as much as people may need to be taken care of...they also think of that in individual terms. The fragility of solidarity is most evident in this countries largest cities. Where a simple act of asking if someone needs help is met with suspicion and fear. We have become strangers to our neighbours and ourselves...and until we can build institutions where our neighours are known to us then we will continue to think of ourselves as individuals. And, best recourse for individual advancement has always been the market.

Have we killed as many people as Hitler did? No, not in the same manner. But by sins of both commission (Iraqis bombed and shot, for example) and omission (children starving and suffering from preventable illness, for example) of course we have. And we have the potential to quite easily kill many more.I can still write this.
I can still post this on marginal websites unseen by the masses.
I can still say these things openly on the street.
But reporters are being preemptively detained. Peace activists' homes are being raided. And the number two excuse I get from people for their inaction (after futility, which is always number one) is fear (which is not always high on the list -- it had to be put there).
Do you use these phrases? Illegal Alien. Underclass. Stakeholders. Defense Department. Humanitarian Intervention. Homeland. Targeted Strike. Collateral Damage. Evildoers. Islamofascists. Terrorists. Muslim Extremists. Status of Forces Agreement. Iranian Threat.
If you use those phrases, are they your own?
If you hear those phrases, do you object to them? Do you protest them?
Has anyone had family members tell you to keep quiet and not write letters to the editor of local newspapers? I must admit that I have family members who have sat down with me and expressed concern about it. I wrote one darned letter in support of the NDP, and they let me know about it because I share their name.
