Am I the only one wondering if there isn't something a bit fishy with this Wikileaks stuff? There is nothing, at least so far, really damaging to anyone, in the sense that it might spark a mass uprising and popular revolt against the US Hegemony - but there do seem to be a few things that are actually possibly going to help them, at least in terms of pushing "public opinion" in a direction they want it pushed - i.e. the Arab countries (apparently) against Iran???? my my, that certainly hinders the US attempt to vilify the country prior to some kind of attack.... and CSIS and others think Canadians are living in wonderland and need to get serious about 'terrorism' ??? Again - this is detrimental to US interests in what way? It is, actually, a good excuse for the Cdn neocons to 'get more serious' about 'terrorism', etc. And US diplomats insult other countries? This isn't even a surprise - as a PNAC guy said a few years ago, we make history, you deal with it - if you don't like it, who gives a shit? (paraphrasing, but that was the gist). And we might note where all the publicity for Wikileaks comes from - the mainstream media - a mainstream media not given to exposing anything that might actually be harmful to the rulers - we might note their complete stonewalling of anything to do with talking about the stupidity of we the people allowing private banks to create and control our money and the resulting chains we live with, or the blatant nonsense of the official 911 conspiracy theory.
Really, all I see here is more of the same old same old, the mainstream media creating tempests out of teapots, much sound and fury signifying nothing as an earlier observer of human activities observed, whilst keeping the really important stuff out of the public eye.
Bread and circuses. Keeping eyes and brains occupied with trivia whilst the real crimes are carried out behind the scenes where you are NOT invited.
