Greenpeace Refusing to send ONE ship to protect whales in santuary?

Is anyone aware of an official explanation from Greenpeace as to why they refuse to send ONE ship to an area where whales are currently being pursued by whalers?  Sea Shepherd is outnumbered and that one Greenpeace ship could make the difference between life and death for the whales being stalked at this very moment.  But Greenpeace is refusing to even report the location of whaling ships to Sea Shepherd.
Surely the many many Greenpeace supporters and sponsors would like an explanation.  And it's only a matter of time before the media will be asking for an explanation.

yeah, except sea shepherd exists because paul watson was sick of greenpeace's reluctance to send ships to confront the whalers.  so this is not surprising.

But Greenpeace has no reluctance when it comes to collecting donations under the guise of protecting whales.  Germany alone donated 45 million Euros last year to Greenpeace.  So what are they doing with these multimillion dollar ships bought with donations from the public?

Hence the awesome "Whale meat from sanctuary" that they painted on the side of the whaling vessel.
