"I'll stand beside him in the dressing room while he tells his teammates he is gay. Maybe if Sean Avery is there, they would have less of a problem with it."

I can`t think of a worse NHL player to have in my corner in a situation like this than Sean `Sloppy Seconds`Avery.

Avery's a pest for sure. And I think people get angry and rightfully so when he suckers other players. But it's the NHL not WBC or WBA. There are no rules! If I'm 5-11 and the other guy's 6-1 or 6-2, I would want to smack him first, too. I don't think we actually hear what's said in leading up to fisticuffs. I think a lot of times the fight is actually on before the initial punch is thrown. Innocence in the NHL is relative. Just the fact that the guy is on the ice is an invitation to a battle.

Carrie Underwood's Husband Traded to Her Favorite Place: Nashville!

Quote:

Carrie Underwood can say "so long" to Canada, for now at least. Her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, has reportedly been traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators -- right in the heart of country music!

He shoots, yee-haw!

[ed.] OK, I assumed yankhead was responsible for giving the singer top billing over the hockey player, but in that hotbed of honky-tonkin', Vancouver, CA, the hockey guy is still on the second line.
