WARNING TO WOMEN ABOUT "SEDUCTION GURU"

Hello:

A "seduction guru" named "Dimitri The Lover" attacks women on the street, in broad daylight, as his "girlfriend" looks on and smiles (it happened to at least 3 of my friends). As a lesbian who has been harassed by her fair share of men, I was shocked that this man gets away with his misogynistic, criminal behavior. Then I learned that the police turn a blind eye to his crimes because they get a 25% discount on admission to his meetings (see red text in this link) ...

I'm requesting your assistance to prevent this sexual predator from attacking more women. Please warn the general public about him and his female accomplice. He calls his seduction method "Rasputin MindRape" (I'm not kidding). Not only does he teach men throughout the world his "techniques" in exchange for thousands of dollars a day, but I've heard that he and his female accomplice travel around North America and Europe "seducing" women. I spent the last few days compiling some links to help identify them:

Hi Feminasty, colour me naïve, but I'm not as convinced as my veteran colleagues that you are a troll--although I do find it suspicious that after all this gratuitous linkage, you have not offered us any advice as to what we can do about this disgusting individual. Indeed, he doesn't appear to be as notorious as the number of links (many of them duplicates) you provided would suggest. I'm not 100% sure you are not legitimate, however, so I'm giving you the chane to explain yourself. Why do you think posting all these links is the best strategy in dealing with this man? And don't you agree that this kind of guerrilla promotion tactic is exactly the kind of thing this asshole would try?

Catchfire, do you honestly believe, in your wildest dreams, that this forum is the ideal place for this pig to troll for clients? I want women to know his M.O. I want them to know what he and his gf look like, what they do, how they do it, etc. I warned my gf's several times about this guy and yet they come home victimized, not remembering what I said. One gf spent 10 minutes in the back seat of a car with him and his gf. She used the excuse that she had to get to class to exit the situation. When she got home she told me that at first she was flattered that this couple picked her up but about 10 minutes into the encounter she realized who they were and felt disgusted and had to flee. She would have realized sooner if she had seen some video, understood their technique, etc.

I want to saturate the general public with any information I have on these people. Do you see what I mean? Do you? I've posted warnings in other forums. Some moderators are understanding like yourself, some just make accusations of trolling and delete my threads. I'm not going to remind you not to re-victimize the victim. How about this. Take what I say at face value as the truth. If what I am saying is true, how do you suggest I spread the word to my sisters?

Okay Feminasty, I'll take a brief leaf of faith with you.

And while I agree that women need to know about this specific asshole, trust me, there's not enough bandwidth for the gajillion threads required for the moves and lines and bullshit that predators use.

I'd like to take a feminist perspective (Wow! Imagine!) and give women some credit in sussing out who's a predator, and that for the most past those of us who occasionally date men and are not teenagers, actually know stuff from our experiences dating such creatures.

If you have a personal grudge against this waste of space who's breathing air that some worthy person could be breathing, I get it, and I hear ya. But universalizing it to him being a danger to "all women" just has a false ring to me. It's the internet, I'm a suspicious person, sue me.

And if you could explain your nickname/handle and how it's feminist or funny I would be interested in hearing that yoga contortion.

With that logic, and your links removed, what possible positives can result from your "warning" women on babble, if your own friends can't remember your "serious concerns" about this fuckwad? He's not the only one out there, and really, he's insignificant.

Since there are some of us who are out of the range of his predatory sights (by age, ethnicity, appearance) I think it's far more helpful to look at this from a feminist perspective. Encourage women to see the signs in anyone they come across/meet/date. Watch for things like conditional respect and friendliness, watch for boundary-pushing, hear how he talks about other women, especially exes. All these give us a far better gauge of if he has the potential to be an asshole/fuckwad/abuser than a warning about one particular doofus.

His "Respect the cock" (or words to that effect) is a straight rip-off from Tom Cruise's character in Magnolia. I think we know where he's getting his ideas from.

The idea that such a character as this can overpower women on the street with mere psychological suggestion is ridiculous. If he has some technique or approach that works for him, it only works on some women some of the time, for reasons that have more to do with them than with him.

Unfortunately Jas, Dimitri's methods work. I used to attend his "Toronto Real Men" meetings because I was confused about my masculinity. The method preys on a woman's insecurities. It's quick and dirty. I've used it. After a few weeks of new found success with women I began feeling guilt about the types of methods I was using and stopped attending his meetings. I've watched him do approaches (yes, I'm one of THOSE men that have paid $3,000 to spend a day with him). My fascination with the man has not changed, explained by the Google alert I set up for news on him, which in turn took me to this discussion thread. Even though I feel that Feminasty was right to post that PSA, I agree with many of the other posters that those gratuitous links just promote the man. I think you merely need to put up the movie trailer, which shows video of him doing what he does. What his gf looks like is meaningless in that he's always with her and he is a guy that's pretty difficult to miss. I read somewhere that with his big head, big hair, and lean body, he looks like a "Mafia Pez Dispenser".
