Rosemary has been a hero of mine since I read her memoir. Though she's no longer with us in body, I think she represents the New Canada that the NDP is fighting for.

This is my mother Shoshana Rosalind Cramer (Nee Feldman) and my Father, Reevan Francis Barrett Cramer
This was shot at the Lake in Gimli, probably around the time I had joined the service.
This next one is of my mother and I at the Grand Canyon in 1994. I was still in the Navy, and hadn't yet met my wife Darlene. I took them on a
1 month long trip. We went to Chicago, the Grand Canyon, Los Vegas, Phoenix, and Minneapolis. It was a great trip.
My father told me stories about how as a little boy, people Robert Russel, and J.S. Woodsworth, would come to visit my Grandfather at his
furniture store on Main Street. Dad said he remembers them giving him candy, and tussling his hair. My mother told me stories as well.
The one that I most vividly recall is her telling me how Tommy Douglas would come to Winnipeg, and stay with my Grand Parents. She
said she would sneak downstairs to listen to them talk politics as a little girl.
My grandparents weren't real "bigshots", just active socialists, and original CCFers. My mother and father were also not bigshots. Just
dedicated CCFers and then New Dems. They both voted for Rosemary Brown.
This is bringing a tear to my eye. I wish they were here to see this. But wherever they are, I gaurantee my dad is rasing a glass of Scotch
in salue, and sitting with his beloved wife, and my mother, cheering us on!

Thanks so much for giving me this chance to share. I know my father is sitting with my mother, and making her laugh. They laughed so much; I can't remember them ever yelling at each other. I was a happy kid. My father was a teacher and a dedicated educator. He was a fine man, and my mother was a possessor of the fastest wit, and keenest intellect. I miss them.
I guess that is how it is Ken.

My Dad served the cause his whole life. I remember during the 1997 election him calling from Ottawa to tell us back in Regina that we had elected MPs in Ottawa. Those beachheads are part of what will happen tomorrow. I will miss him much tomorrow.

I would love to post a pic of my father here. I never knew how he voted but he always encouraged us to be informed and engaged. He was a true progressive, and had a foot in both the mainstream white world and the OjiCree world of Northern Ontario. He would have enjoyed this election very much.

My mother. She was 85 in April, 2010 and passed away May of last year. She endured a lot of derisive comments and doors slammed in her face during election campaigns. She was a relentless advocate for the NDP.

But I really want to mention this guy.
Both Tommy Douglas and Allan Blakeney consistently maintained that Woodrow Lloyd never got the credit he deserved for implementing Medicare. It was Woodrow who faced down the doctors. It was Woorow who had to listen to the SOB on the phone threatening to shoot his children. It was Woodrow who made the dream a reality.

I was having a chat with my father the other day (right after the election call) and he said something along the lines that he had voted CCF and then NDP all his life and that one of things he most regretted was that he didn't expect to ever see an NDP PM. My father is 78 and in good health, leader of the opposition is a good start on removing one regret from his life.

Your dad was Ed Tchorzewski? I met him in 1995 during the federal leadership campaign. He was a great guy!
