Had to look the Freedom party up, basically one party finds Ayn Rand awesome and the other worships her.

Mathieu Ravignat, the current NDP MP for Pontiac was a candidate for the Communist Party in 1997. Thomas Mulcair was a Liberal cabinet minister only a few years ago. Jacob Penner, prior to becoming the Attorney General of Manitoba in the 1980s, ran for the Communists in the 1950s. Are Ravignat, Mulcair, and Penner all bad candidates? Should they all have been disqualified?
I'm not a fan of Barry Weisleder, but it seems pretty difficult to use him running for the RMG in 1977 against him when a sitting NDP MP ran for the Communist Party 20 years after, and one of the frontrunners in the leadership race is a former Liberal provincial cabinet minister.

Nah, I referred to that more to question why we should worry so much about a self-aggrandizing individual with little ability to build bridges and much ability to cause stress, disharmony and collapse within organizations. 117 votes says a lot about his lack of ability. "He isnt the only loser in the party," which is the feeble defence some have used above, is hardly a ringing endorsement for his skills.
He spoke out against the duly elected leader of his team. If you're your boss' best worker, or the sales teams best sales guy, or the hardest working man in showbizness, or the fastest bean picker in your organic bean farming collective, you can get away with that sort of thing.
When you are engaged in a quixotic 40 year ego trip with nothing to show for it, and you speak to the boss in a dismissive and insulting fashion, and you irritate your coworkers, out ya go. That's not fascism, that's the nature of human organization.
