"The Geneva Conventions are clear 'Civilians shall not be the object of attack.' The NATO countries participating in airstrikes in Libya include France, UK, USA, CANADA, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands and Italy.

What excuse does NATO have for bombing a Downs Syndrome school, the University of Tripoli, the man-made waterway irrigation system which supplies most Libyans with drinking water, bombing a hospital killing over 50 many of whom were children, bombing villages killing the civilian population - is this not genocide...?"

Reporters for the British Telegraph described Sirte as a 'squalid ruin' that is 'reminiscent of the grimmest scenes from Grozny, towards the end of Russia's bloody Chechen war.'

The destruction of Sirte raises other historical parallels - Guernica, the Warsaw Ghetto and the obliteration by the fascist powers of other urban centers in the 1930s and 1940s..

For the NATO powers, the violence is intended to serve as a deterrent to the new order now being established in Tripoli..."

RCAF Lt. Gen Charles 'The Butcher' Bouchard makes all final targeting decisions and approvals and Canadian jets rank third behind Britain in total bombs/missiles dropped. Obviously nothing for Canadians to take any notice of as indeed they haven't. Sleepwalking through yet another imperial war of aggression in which they are deeply involved...not a peep out of MPs contra either. Not to mention the Occupy movement here yet..
