Did the issue about SOPA and online pirating, and copyright, get left out at Rabble? I did a search [I don't want to be guilty of thread proliferation!].
Anyway, the Church of Copymism is making a whole lotta sense to me - it has nothing to do with god or gods at all, but rather it is about how copying and the free flow of information is at the essence of being human.
Our DNA is a copy!

So, for the first time since I joined the United Church at age 12 [and then became an atheist by age 15!!], I joined these whackos. "Whackos R Us" lol, but it makes sense - the human race has thrived on sharing information, why block it?
Copyright is wrong:
- to restrict knowledge and information is evil, only those elites who want to carve out a separate place for themselves to the exclusion of others would want to restrict information and culture and learn-ed texts
And let me say that as a songwriter, I do not benefit from copyright laws. They only seem to help the music industry's Mega-Stars and they keep the vast creative energy from being given a chance to be heard.
As a listener, don't you want more choice in music? nothing new in 20 years except techno and rap, which are both highly dependent on equipment and technology.
So please have a look at the copymism site and I will be back with more thoughts on it later.
