For what its worth, I believe this retraction was a while ago.

And I doubt anyone that has anything to do with it, heard a word you said.

Nor was it 'finally', since Meier was almost immediately forthright about his exact role, and was helping Elections Canada find who placed the calls.

Its only a big deal to you. You could save that wish for a Pat Martin muzzle for when you see Santa.

ETA: Looks like this retraction is new. I was probably thinking of the backtrack he did on the company Campaign Research.

Ken, I don't know why you're being so obtusely offensive, but I invite you to read through this thread and see all the truly ignorant comments and half-baked analyses offered up by some babblers who think the asshole Pat Martin is the beacon of socialism in our times, and who just couldn't grasp that attacking RackNine was a diversion at best. What's also quite shocking is the number of babblers who mindlessly repeated the utterly unfounded accusations against RackNine. Now the NDP and their hero Patrick have stated:

NDP and Pat Martin wrote:
RackNine provides a legitimate automated call service similar to services used by many political parties.

RackNine was merely an innocent intermediary not a participant in electoral fraud.

First spew crap, then eat crow. I'm really not sure which scene is more pathetic.

Meanwhile, the whole electoral fraud thing has passed from public view and Harper has survived yet another tempest in a teapot.

Like I said Unionist, big deal.

Thats a very small crow on the plate.

Its only going to look pathetic to you. And for whatever reason, you have a lot invested in this being a drama.

And this has sweet fuck all to do with whether or not electoral fraud passes from public view.

And for the record, I said from the beginning that its going to be long and drawn out, and guaranteed to pass in and out of public view.

If you think it will be wron poorly by Martin and the NDP, you might want to glance over your shoulder at the guy in the mirror frantically waving his arms around.

Pat Martin has decided (or has been told) to try to avoid more lawsuits. Could this be the first step in fitting him for a much-needed muzzle?

On Sunday, February 26, 2012, I appeared as a guest on the CTV Question Period program.  In the course of that broadcast, I made certain comments dealing with the allegations of voter tampering at the 41st federal general election of May 2, 2011, that seem to have been misunderstood by the corporate officers in charge of Campaign Research Inc, an Ottawa-based company.  Today, I would like to clarify my remarks.

I did not accuse Campaign Research Inc. of having engaged in criminal activity in respect of robo-calls during the Spring 2011 election campaign, nor did I intend to convey that meaning.

My guess is he and the party got a letter from Campaign Research saying, "retract or we'll sue your asses".

Holy crap, the muzzle is slipping already...

ETA: And here is the real story behind Pat Martin's cowardly retreat:

Thank you Unionist for rehashing 3 months of old news and updating us with absolutely nothing.

I everything you posted and reposted is the same old news that existed in this thread and previous threads.

But to rehash your opinion...I read it as such...

1) You believe Pat Martin is a loud mouth and shouldn't have said what he said about RackNine and RMG (to which I disagree with you).

2) You believe that Pat Martin Apologising and retracting is a cowardly retreat.

Thank you Unionist for proving you can have your cake and eat it too...

Perhaps this thread will revive itself again when there is some updated news to report.

If you took the time to read, you might actually learn something. Pat Martin and the NDP apologized TODAY - a couple hours ago actually.

Yes. I'm right, and you're wrong. And even Pat Martin disagrees with you. He says (TODAY) that RackNine was an innocent bystander. But you know better, don't you? Based on what?

No, you concocted that out of thin air. On March 3 (can you read??), I called on Pat Martin to apologize and retract his unfounded accusations against RackNine. Today, he did so. He is not a coward. I'm sure he was told to either apologize, or go find another party to embarrass.

You seem to have a lot of trouble summarizing my opinion. Maybe you should stick to expressing your own opinion. For what it's worth.
