When I downloaded rabble.ca this morning I got a message that my "persistent login" cookies may have been stolen for the purpose of someone impersonating me, so all cookies connected with my 'persistent login' have been removed. I was able to log in without problem afterward, though. Odd.
Cookie - er, Boom Boom - no one could impersonate you!!!

upside down and backwards as well.
Good morning, Mods. Another thread for you to mercifully close.
Hi Boom Boom! From what I understand, "persistant login cookies" are just cookies that keep you logged in on multiple devices, in case you use babble from different computers. If you use too many, they reset them as a security precaution. It just means you have to log in again, and it doesn't mean someone is impersonating you. I think it goes without saying that if you were to catch such a person, it wouldn't end well for them.
Thanks for the explanation, good friend.
Sooner or later, my identity will be revealed, and I'll have to choose a new nick. I wonder what would be appropriate.
How about "Moob Moob"? or "Mobo Mobo"?
I thought this thread would have been closed by now. At any rate, I think I'll keep "Boom Boom" because I am certain that the babble community would protest any change in my nick.
I thought that was your real name. Anyway, it's a real hit.
I could tell you my real name, but then I'd have to... well, you know.
Just a quick note on the recent banning in the Feminism thread regarding matters of exclusion, jotted down here because I'm unable and unwilling to do it there...that was really ugly, even as we can't delve into the reasons.
@ Slumberjack:
I propose that babble's new motto be: "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must remain silent". Nicely philosophical, I think.
I like it.
Slumberjack, is there anything you'd like to say about that "little gem" or are you just giving yet another example of its truth?
sklaw, posts like the one above which key into one person in particular really aren't constructive. Please try not to get too caught up with individual posters and focus on the issue under discussion.
There is something I'd like to say. Go fuck yourself.
