I wonder if Wynne will give into Andrea's demand for a public inquiry?

She has no choice. Otherwise the legislature resumes to the contempt motion pending when McGuinty prorogued. The fact that Horwath demanded something that lets Wynne off the hook makes me wonder what else they are reaching an understanding about. I think this is very sound. The first poll puts Wynne ahead, starting the predictable honeymoon. The NDP isn't thirsting for an election right now, although beating Pupatello would have been great fun. Horwath is the antidote to public disillusionment with posturing politicians. I think this is going to be a very interesting spring.

There will be no public inquiry without an election.

I'm wondering if it's time for another thread centred upon Wynne rather than McGuinty's resignation...

The BC Liberal spokesman for Premier Christy Clark, Ben Chin, will face questions in the Ontario probe by Ontario's Standing Committee on Justice of the political scandal involving Premier Dalton McGuinty's decision to scrap gas plants planned for Mississauga and Oakville.

Chin is being called to testify because he helped TransCanada Energy, the company that was building the plants, communicate with the Premier's office while he was vice-president of communications for the Ontario Power Authority.
