The US is such an awful place and is too far gone to ever be rehabilitated. To think that slogans like this will probably get someone re-elected. Yes, he's actually a sitting member of the US House of Representatives.
Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) on Friday tweeted out the slogan for what he said would be his new campaign bumper sticker, which combines two hot-button conservative issues into one controversial sound bite.
"If Conservatives had brains they...." oh sorry, that would never happen. 
But I do love how the terms "pro-life" and "guns" are used. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

It's as if the only solution to whatever bothers right-wing mouth-frothers is "more guns!"
Worried about crime? Guns for everyone in the family! Including the dog, the cat and the hamster!
Worried about birth control? Guns for everyone to stand outside drugstores and shoot at women who LOOK LIKE they buy b.c. pills! Also, shoot condoms!
Worried about abortion? Arm fetuses even though they don't have arms! Or hands or fingers!
Argh.
There is a constituency that will only hear "Blah blah blah guns blah blah blah abortion" and that'll be good enough for them.
I don't think the US is completely irredeemable, though. There are some smart and sensible people there and I hope they can find a way to take the wheel soon.

That's Kendall Jones. She's a hunter who routinely recieves graphic death threats and threats about violently raping her.
The stats about accidental shootings is really heart breaking. Parents ought to be more responsible with their firearms.
From a Darwinian point of view, members of the families of gun owners being killed by their guns should reduce the population of gun owners, and increase the relative population of non-gun owners. If this trend continues, there will eventually be no one left who wants to own guns. It is truly unfortunate on an individual personal basis when someone gets killed, however it may all be for the Greater Good. Only God knows for sure. After all, I don't know any of these people. No one that I know and love will have this happen to them, as there isn't anyone remotely close to them who owns a gun.
I do not particularly want to know gun owners, as they may have a mental episode and start killing people at random, as happens quite often in the United States. My heart does go out to the dead victims, of course. Not that that does them any good.

And I think I can explain why nobody has called Children's Services to get her out of that home: There have been numerous instances of social workers being shot by gun fathers and gun mothers when attempting to do so.

Do you mean her existance is unhealthy because of growing up in a home with firearms, because of the online abuse or both?
I grew up in a home full of guns and I have a bunch myself. Didn't experience any abuse, violence or anything growing up nor is it in my house. Now of course I could go nuts tomorrow and start shooting people (like P17 aluded to) but so too could anyone else here get behind the wheels of a vehicle and kill just as many if not more people. Without going down that rabbit hole too much I'm biased but I would be way more concerned over someones mental healthy (at the very least, if not physical) growing up in a very religious home.
But since this is a feminisim fourm I'll talk about Mrs Jones. She seems normal and to have all her faculties about her, but shes targeted for the sin of hunting. She shoots animals for sport. I'm not a fan myself (unlike my father, I'm not a hunter) but it's not an evil practice. Those people will often donate the meat to charities and organizations (an especially popular practice in Africa) and also dump thousands of dollars back into local communities. I think one of the real take away questions here should be why do a collective we feel it's okay to target a woman like this with online harassment, abuse and graphic threats of violence. Have you ever read some of the comments that people post? There's some real sickos out there.
If there is an existance of unhealthiness then I suppose some of it could be glorifying firearms which may lead to accidental shootings, but more so a woman doing what she wants (in a traditionally male environment) puts rape culture, mysogony, hyprocasy and abuse on display.

ya whats with people levelling threats against women in public.
i was pretty mad over the number and type of threats being levelled at rachel notley and her female cabinet members.
When I say puts it on display I mean myogonist and and abusive comments aren't said behind someones back or behind closed doors but out there in the public eye with men AND women failing to speak up and speak out. Noltey, Wynne etc. are great examples of that same behavior too. Regardless of what someone's political beliefs of non-illegal hobbies are they should never be attacked like that.

I'm not a hardline anti-gun type. I'm fine with hunting weapons(especially for Indigenous/First Nations people who depend on subsistence hunting and fishing). And I remember going "gopher hunting" with my dad a couple of times when I was a kid and firing a .22 now and then.
