Can't vouch at all for the accuracy of this thing...
Your Political Compass
The questions are pretty manipulative (and obvious). Still worth bantering about, though.
Here is mine: http://www.politicalcompass.org/printablegraph?ec=-9.88&soc=-8.05 Almost the same as yours, but absolutely on the left.
It must be a US site, as it would make me a "liberal" socialist or leftist. I'm no bloody liberal.
I got it from a friend in the US who votes Democrat, and his score was similar to mine.
lagatta, that's the furthest left I've seen on that instrument!
I didn't know how to make the graphic show up but here are my scores:
Economic Left/Right: -5.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.33
I believe we had a thread years ago with this test but it was UK centric. Our scores are very close Lagatta.
http://www.politicalcompass.org/printablegraph?ec=-10.00&soc=-7.90
I was hoping folks would post their graphics - easier to understand than the numerical scores.
i tried i don't know how. i'm 1 sqre to the right and 1 up from your result. i think.....
I can't remember how I did it, I'm an old-timer with memory loss.
Here's what I got:
http://www.politicalcompass.org/printablegraph?ec=7.38&soc=-4.77
[Edit for grammar] I think it's more important to answer truthfully than to say what you think other people might want you to think.
.
Barely made it into the left/libertarian green square, pretty close to dead centre.
Economic Left/Right -1.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -2.26
Guess my right wing extremist beliefs nicely balance out my left wing extremist beliefs.
I like my odds for being possibly the most right wing person here based on some of the results so far.

Yes, it was quite a while ago - I did a search but couldn't find the previous thread. But, generally, the babble search function isn't as functional as it used to be.
The questions have changed over time, including the one on "terrorism". It's not a very useful tool in my opinion other than for generating banter. Which is why I placed it in "Babble Banter".
Yeah, that's the word I was looking for: "loaded".
Your wish is my command Boom Boom
and for those that like numbers, the kitty is -9.75, -8.67. I suspect the -8.67 has something to do with my past relationship(s) with employers.
haven't done something like this before. here is my result. and i've no idea other than comparing me to examples they've posted what it means.
eco: -7.50
soc: -6.67
on their example they don't have anybody in the world leadership positions who are right libertarians they're all authortarians. does this mean people on the right can't be or aren't libertarian minded and are all 'bout controlling and dominating people?
Yeah loaded, and kind of confusing in spots - like that question about protectionism as an inherent part of a truly free market, followed by another free market question. Which freemarket was the second question refering to?
And the fact is, one benefit of fascism IS that it would cut through the red tape of democracy. That's about the only advantage and it doesn't mean I think it is a better system.
-7.48 -6.46
I probably wouldn't have put myself there on the libertarian scale.
The questions are pretty manipulative (and obvious). Still worth bantering about, though.
talk about loaded questions:
Q: Do you intend to stop beating your wife? Answer: agree/strongly agree/disagree/strongly disagree.
Many Q's here similarly paint the responder into a corner of accepting the questioner's premises.
Anyway, quiz vaguely useful, but gives little insight into real-world political philosophy and its tradeoffs,
ex:
Do you think the really really rich should totally dominate everyone, OR do you want peace and justice for all immediately?
A.: Agree/strongly agree/disagree/strongly disagree.
Largely worthless, but entertaining in the sense of a weekend-magazine quiz.
How often were you all saying "strongly agree" and "strongly disagree"? Most of my responses were "meh, that sounds OK to me" and not very many "Hell No!" so maybe that skewed me more to the middle than most of you seem to have landed.
Anyways I seem to be still in the lead for most-right-wing so yay for growing up in probably the most-right-wing province.
Und if I am der uber right-vinger zen I shall conzider all future postinks to be in a menacink Cherman aggsent!

I did the same thing - even on the military intervention question. I expect in my case a few of them have balanced each other off.
Yeah I agree with you that the quiz could use better choices such as "meh, that sounds OK to me" and "Hell No!".
I'll have to check later to see if there is a response form to send feedback to the creator of the quiz.
Seems to have been worth an afternoon's amusement anyway.
I hope that was a typo ArghMonkey, you meant retreads, didn't you?
Here's mine:
So, Economic Left/Right: -8.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.08
Here's the site's view of Canada's political parties in 2011:

Thx Bagkitty. I am sure ArghMonkey will be happy to correct the mistake.
Btw, this entire "Political Test" was shown, years ago, to be a tool used by Libertarians, they would send this stupid thing to everyone and when you took it they would almost always land on the "Libertarian" side, as if Libertarian is the opposite of Authoritarian.
Shame theres not a better chart/test out there, this deeply flawed one keeps popping up here and there over the internet.
The Nolan Chart is another example of a badly flawed political chart and it apparently was sponsored sometime after its creation, by the fucking idiots over at Reason magazine.

Here is a more directly applicable, political test/quiz

I feel sick that even 8% of my beliefs cross conservative paths
I found a new one of these things.... tells you where you are likely to fall on the (USian) spectrum on the basis of your first name. It is a little giggle inducing, but what the heck, it is almost the weekend. Go here and give it a try. (their methodology, if you can call it that) is explained immediately above your result. Have fun
The name on my birth certificate is moderately liberal, but its diminutive (which is what I go by) is moderately conservative.
For me, looking at the graphic in post #30 is a vivid reminder that I don't honestly know what it might be on a political compass, but i know where it ain't.
