Bravo to the hardcore Vancouver activists for giving this DICK a good rough ride. Because I attend every one of the protests of these US war criminals' appearances in Toronto, I can testify that Mr Cheney would likely have had nothing to fear. The protest attendance here in TO for Bush or Clinton appearances has been dismal - the last time less than a dozen people showed up...

It should be because of the actual law in Canada that says that 'a credibly suspected' person accused of war crimes must be held accountable. It isn't - because neither the government nor opposition will do anything to ensure this, unless the culprit is an African.

I agree with SJ. This seems like just a neat chance to insult Canada and scaremonger about activists in general. I highly doubt that the Vancouver activist community could be credited with actually striking enough fear in Cheney's heart to make him doubt his safety.
