I find that threads where there are link after link in one post after the other take a very long time to load. After a few hundred posts containing links it appears that babble's program does not work well. It seems to me how long a thread takes to load is somehow linked to the length of the thread and the number of external links.

Maybe a resident techie can tell me whether it is possibly the problem that Boom Boom on dial up is experiencing. When I use a rerouting program for security in internet cafes I get the 502 Error message on most of the BC election threads and some of NDPP's long threads that contain many great links but little else.

I'm back after a three month absence, I'm still on dialup, and babble is still as slow for me as it always has been, but now I'm getting this message every second time I click on a babble thread, and evrytime I try to delete a post from my Inbox:

(Error 503 Service Unavailable)

It really is bloody frustrating, because the other site (BNR) doesn't give me any problems at all. I may just give up trying to make this place work for me.

No it isn't. Babble is where the mod tells you to shut up cuz he doesn't believe the same things as we do.

The site works perfectly well for me on high speed wifi here at the motel, but, sadly, tomorrow I go back to dialup.

Xplornet sent a techie out to my community last summer to install new satellite dishes - but could not get a signal from their new satellite. Their old satellites still work but the old satellite dishes aren't available now.

Meanwhile, TELUS has installed high speed cable broadband at the community clinic, but so far has refused to install any residential addresses.

My options are all gone for highlighting or inserting images.

As well the spell check only works intermittently. (it is now,phew) Since I have been experiencing spell check problems it seems other peoples spelling is also hit and miss.

Anyone else having those problems?

As well yesterday I had a hard time getting into rabble or babble and other sites worked just fine.

Re: Active Topics page.

Prior to the upgrade, you could "page" backwards to earlier AT entries to find a thread which might have slipped off the first most recent page.

That is no longer possible. Now, if a thread hasn't had a new post in 2 or 3 days, it's sometimes very difficult to locate.

Could "paging" please be returned to the AT page?
