Perhaps as bad as awarding George Bush the presidency.
Definitely not as bad as Dred Scott.
Is it worse than tha Citizens United case menitoned in that last article? Probably.

Yeah, when there's vacancy.
And it's far from the worst decision. Citizens United was worse. The gun decision, Dred Scott, Plessy v. Ferguson, Bush v. Gore, and a whole line of decisions the first third of the last century striking down law such as maximum hours, minimum wage, etc.
