Thanks everyone! Rebecca and I, along with other staff, are now approving new members manually. There are still some accounts owned by spammers who have registered before this latest "incident," so there could be a few more spam posts here and there. But hopefully, we humans can outsmart the bots -- at least until Deep Blue takes it on.

When it does happen is it helpful if we flag all the threads/posts or is it better if we only flag one post of each spammer?

Great question! Just one if there is a rash of them because we can delete them all at once but would have to clear the abuse queue individually if they each appear there.
