A.Leader John Horgan says these critics are 'by far' the best performers

Even if this is true - I'm not sure Horgan should say that 5 MLAs are "by far" the best performers out of a 34 member caucus. The other 28 may be thinking "What am I, chopped liver?"

Yup, way to team-build, Horgan.
Is he missing Legislative session time to travel the province? I don't think that's the way to go either. He can do both quite easily, as the BC Legislature under the Liberals has hit record lows in actual sitting time.

Yup, way to team-build, Horgan.
Is he missing Legislative session time to travel the province? I don't think that's the way to go either. He can do both quite easily, as the BC Legislature under the Liberals has hit record lows in actual sitting time.
Yes, it worked so well for Harcourt. The NDP share of the vote fell from 42.5% or so in 1986 to 40.7% of the vote in 1991.

I'm not saying it's not important, but it's not like there is a Minister of Northern Economic Development.
maybe there needs to be and there is a reason why they did not make one. not having one makes it difficult for there to be any clarity or accountability to the public.
like most BCers don't know about the crown corp of NDIT (northern development initiative trust). who exactly is overseeing this crown corp?
i applaud the NDP for realizing eco development in the north needs to be scrutinized!!!!

The Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training is resposible for NDIT.

The NDP has (almost) always had a critic for Northern Economic Development. As I said, it's pretty important for people in the north, but it is, after all, just a small part of the Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training job. I'm surprised Robin Austin doesn't have a more senior critics role.

B.Why has Robin Austin been given such a minor critic's role by Horgan as 'Northern Economic Development' While it realize it may be important to a few northerners, he was the guy who was tasked by the party to write the fish farm report and had a series of senior critics roles under Carole James and Adrian Dix.
C.Several Harcourt cabinet minsters are proving they can, in fact, run a peanut stand.
1.Glen Clark is now the President of the Pattison Group
2.Elizabeth Cull is now the owner of a chain of 'Dig It' gardening retail stores in southern Vancouver Island.
3.Moe Sihota is now the managing partner of a Victoria hotel.
4.Joy MacPhail is now the Chair of OutTv.
5.Andrew Petter, although not technically president of a company, is now the President of Simon Fraser University.

Um, maybe because your position on resource development is indistinguishable from that of the BC Liberals? And it appears that you have no critical perspective on what is most likely the most pressing issue in BC today -- which suggests that you have no critical thinking capacity whatsoever? Just a thought.
