Isn't it the case with all imperial projects around the world that the creation and raising up of a suitable villian for everyone to spit on is always among the first prerequisites on the checklist of things to do? To expand upon an Orwellianism, what successfully indoctrinated people really engage in when they mock someone who has been held out by the propaganda as a homicidal maniac is really the marshalling and projection of self defence, which more resembles the command and snapping to attention of well disciplined soldiers on a parade square. They become so practiced at it that they risk anticipating the words of command to such an extent that they begin to go off on their own without being specifically prompted.
