Death squads of the Kiev regime have executed NAF fighters that were taken POW - slitting their throats and then wrote the name of their battalion in their victim's blood... and then taking pictures of themselves and posting them online as online terrorism.

Killing POWs and writing in their blood ...

21-1-2015: An Appeal From Igor Martynov The Mayor of Donetsk To The World

https://twitter.com/JohnDelacour/status/557948063877443584

"Today, 21st January, as the result of deliberate barbaric bombardment by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two water conduits from the Upper Kalmius reservoir were damaged at Donetsk. The Kirovsky, Petrovsky, Kubyshevsky and South pumping stations will not be able to supply water to their customers.

On behalf of the city administration and on my own behalf, I wish to say that we regard leaving inhabitants without water in the winter as direct genocide of the people of Donetsk.

At this critical juncture, I appeal to the international community to call for immediate assistance and adequate reaction to what is happening in our land, owing to the looming threat from the authorities of Ukraine to destroy us."

Summary of Combat Operationsfor January 21, 2015

Some modest gains by the resistance. The junta has admitted they have lost control of the Donetsk airport and the fairy tale of the "cyborg" soldiers is in the trash can. The front line now runs through Peski.

Quote:
To avenge the battlefield failures, the junta carried our particularly strong bombardments of Donbass cities, and according to preliminary data the number of killed in Donetsk, Gorlovka, Stakhanov, and other cities exceeds 100 people.

Just to be clear, these are civilians the Kiev junta is bombing.

Quote:
We have seen and are seeing a sophisticated war crime being perpetrated, the responsibility for which is borne not by some self-willed volunteer battalions, but by Poroshenko personally, for he gave the order to destroy the Donbass, and by the Ukrainian military leadership which uses tube and rocket artillery for terror bombardments of peaceful civilians.

But surely the West is criticizing this?

Quote:
European hypocrites are naturally ignoring the mass killings, and are endorsing the “carte blanche” issued to Poroshenko to carry out any and all atrocities in the name of fighting “Russian aggression.” That most of the killed are Ukrainian civilians does not seem to bother any “true democrats,” they don’t consider the victims to be human. Therefore Ukrainian fascism is wholly consistent with the European doublethink.

No. Apparently they have negotiated a corridor and are fixing it.

And if some of us don't bother to keep up with everything in your perennial streams, there's a reason for that . Kind of begs the question of why you didn't find that updated information and post it yourself.

ikosmos ikosmos's picture

Smith, why are you quoting an article that uses a representative of the junta, Oleksandr Lukyanchenko, who's living in Kiev and has been since the summer, to speak for Donetsk? Or didn't you know?

Lukyanchenko refers to the bombing of civilians as an anti-terrorist operation. See link.

The new mayor under the resistance is Igor Martynov.

6079_Smith_W

But he's not the elected mayor (and how is the mayor a representative of the junta? He was elected by the people of Donetsk) and what does it have to do with the actual point in the article, which is that contrary to your claims, Ukraine has allowed a corridor for it to be fixed.

And evidently this isn't the first time. The water has been knocked out and restored several times since summer, most recently in late November. This stuff about letting the residents die is just nonsense.

Cluster munitions used by the Kiev junta on Gorlovka civilians.

Human Rights Watch notes also GRAD multiple launch missiles  by Ukr military (and criticizes self-defense forces for locating in densely populated areas).

Fair enough. This is what has held up the resistance from taking Mariupol - too many civilian casualties likely. Why can't the Ukrainian regime show the same respect for human life?

Ukraine Government: “We Target Civilians.” Separatists: “Their Targeting Maps Prove It.

Quote:
The pro-regime Ukrainian TV station Hromandske TV — which is funded by the U.S. Government, the Dutch Government,  has reported that the Ukrainian Government is specifically targeting civilians to die in the Donbass region in the former Ukraine’s southeast. It’s being done in order “to clean the cities.”

Bec.De.Corbin Bec.De.Corbin's picture

That is shrapnel, not cluster munitions, and could come from any number of types of artillery shells or rockets. Real proof would look like this (unexploded cluster munitions)...

or this...

These weapons have a % dud rate so there should be some laying around the target area and it appears an OSCE observer team's report on Wednesday also cited the use of cluster munitions in an attack on the separatist-controlled village of Komsomolske on Monday in which a 37-year-old woman was killed and a 5-year-old girl gravely injured.

FYI Cluster munitions are restricted from being used in populated areas and are not completely banned from use. Still bad on the UKA for using this type of ammo around built up areas.

Ukrainian soldier boasts about shooting civilians on his Facebook page

Quote:
This story illustrates the socially acceptable mentality in today's Ukraine, were a soldier can boast about shooting unarmed civilians, because they are "subhuman separatists". And this is not the Right Sector or volunteer battalion, this is just one soldier from regular Ukrainian army. And according to him, he is not alone in his thinking. Besides an admission of a crimes against civilians, this is also an illustration of a deep rift in the Ukrainian society, which is divided not along the front line, but deep on the home front. A rift marked by deep hatred and a passion to annihilate fellow humans.

"Danylo Lubkivsky, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, presented the so-called “Kremlin’s Black Book” prepared by the “Information and Communication Department”, which apparently was created to highlight all the destruction that Russia has supposedly brought to Eastern Ukraine. While putting aside the stereotypical and unsubstantiated ‘blame Russia’ narrative, the document surprisingly might be the most comprehensive assessment yet of all the damage the country’s civil war has done to the East’s infrastructure and the overall economy of Ukraine. In this manner, the whole thing can be seen as a major backfiring for Kiev’s “information and communication” objectives, since it has inadvertently implicated itself by collecting and publishing all the data about the extent of its crimes."

As one commentator with a good memory noted, the Nazis were meticulous record-keepers as well. That helped a great deal, later on, in Nuremburg at the War Crimes Tribunal.

Blame Russia narrative ... backfires.

The charges include "planning, preparations, incitement and the launch of an aggressive war by Ukrainian state officials," the news agency cited the ruling on the opening of the criminal case.

Aside from Poroshenko, charges have been filed against Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council's secretary Oleksandr Turchynov.

What in all likelihood is another (predictable) "false flag" operations by the putsch regime in Kiev took place in Kharkov. The Cassad blog is predicting another similiar false flag in Mariupol.

al jazeera reporting, quotes Poroshenko: "This is a brazen attempt to expand the territory of terrorism."

Well, at least he's consistent. Blame Russia, blame the "terrorists" (ie, ethnic Russians) in the east, and never ask "who benefits?"

Quote:
I'm absolutely sure that this is not the last such actions. It is worth noting that in the previous days the junta media were actively fear-mongering on the subject of the NAF preparing an offensive on Kharkov and Mariupol. The DPR leadership was even forced to publicly denounce the junta's insinuations and state that there are no planes of an offensive on Mariupol right now. Actually, this is what they will try to bind this explosion too, saying that the NAF are preparing an offensive on Kharkov and that is why they blew up the bomb. This is how the Ukrainian media will present this story. It is quite probably that the next provocation after Kharkov will be again in Mariupol.

Something else posted here was useful.

Quote:
And more on the topic of provocations. Here is a video with substantive proof (the captured journal of firing on Kirovskoye and the village of Shevchenko) of goal-directed shelling of the settlements of the people's republics by the fascist junta artillery. The journal itself is evidence that proves that the AFU artillerists committed war crimes.

link - this is how the junta makes note of shelling, in an organized way, Ukr civilians. (not in English)

That's quite useful when you want to debunk the idiotic claims of Bander-logs (as he calls them) who claim the resistance "shell themselves", etc.

In the prisoner exchanges, the Ukrainian junta continues to exchange people they have ripped off the street and tortured for genuine POWs that have been captured by the freedom-loving DPR and LPR Armed Forces.

Among the prisoners of the junta ... women and journalists.

Why does the Ukr regime do this? Probably because they have few prisoners to exchange ... since any prisoners may be have been MURDERED and thrown into a shallow grave.

Quote:
Yesterday, Kiev junta exchanged 52 "POW's", after torturing and beatings, from whom just 50% are civilians, including 4 women (4 first photos) for 139 Ukrainian fascists, real POW's from Debaltsevo, who were fed and got medical treatment, some of whom fascists even got civilian clothes because their military uniform were in bad condition (next 2 photos) ...

During the exchange of one of the Ukrainian soldier, a resident of Kharkov, refused to exchange and chose to stay in the Lugansk People's Republic.

... It should be noted that Ukraine handed over to the DPR and LPR mainly civilians, including women. Kiev junta arrested 4 mothers of members of Donetsk armed forces, only this were guilty of these women. One of woman have clear bruise below eye, it is visible on video. She was about 90 days in Kiev junta prison, she was tortured and beaten, Ukrainian fascists from SBU threatened to kill her child. Ukrainian fascists capturing civilians in the checkpoints in occupied territory, in order to change civilians for own POW. There, among other POW of Kiev junta was Andrey Zakharchuk, inhabitant of city Kiev and journalist of Russian media. He was arrested by false suspicion of SBU in espionage.

Number of real POW which gave Kiev junta, as usual, was less than 50%. Condition of the people, who back from Kiev junta prisons was very bad - many wounded, exhausted, with signs of tortures and beatings. Some prisoners could not move on own legs. On the contrary, all POWs whom handed over Donetsk and Lugansk republics were in good condition.

Behavior of Kiev junta fascist with civilians is similar to behavior of ISIS, because instructors and masters are same.

Slumberjack

Yep, same masters, same behaviour.  It's what they do at Langley.

All sort of public officials of the previous Ukrainian regime are being found dead, the victims of "suicide" in strangely large numbers.

Quote:
Alexander Peklushenko, the former governor of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region, has been found dead in his home, Anton Gerashchenko, a Ukrainian parliament deputy and an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, said on Thursday.

Wait, there's more. Much more.

Quote:
Another two members of Ukraine’s Party of Regions, Mikhail Chechetov and Stanislav Melnik, were found dead some time ago. A number of high-ranking officials committed suicides in Ukraine from January 26 to February 28. Nikolay Sergiyenko, the former first deputy head of the Ukrzheldoroga railway company who was appointed by Ukraine’s former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov shot himself from a hunting rifle; Alexey Kolesnik, the former governor of the Kharkiv region, hanged himself in his home on January 29 without leaving a suicide note. The 57-year-old mayor of Melitopol, Sergey Valter, hanged himself on February 25 hours before a court hearing on his case. The body of Alexander Bordyuga, the deputy chief of the Melitopol police department, was found in a garage on February 26.

As one commentator remarked, the West-backed Maidan regime is exterminating its political opponents in a hurry, with complete impunity, as it knows it will face no scrutiny from Ukrainian or Western media.

No scrutiny from Western sponsors.

That's not counting, for example, the bomb threats and attempts to kill the Chief Public Prosecutor of Crimea, etc.

A freak road accident involving a Ukrainian armored personnel vehicle that killed an 8-year-old girl escalated into a series of riots in Kostantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, on March 16.

The accident took place at around 3 p.m. in the center of the city of 95,000 residents. The armored vehicle lost control on the road and hit the little girl, her aunt and her baby cousin ...

The accident caused unrest in the city, where many residents do not welcome the Ukrainian authorities and troops. According to some reports from the ground, Ukrainian military barracks were set on fire, but Kyiv Post has not been able to get an independent confirmation....

Also, propaganda machines on both sides geared up and pumped out scores of tweets about the incident. On the other side, numerous tweets warned that somebody was using the accident to incite riots.

More on the many unreported (in the Western MSM) "suicides" by former officials in Ukraine.

US Senator John McCain, current designated Russophobic attack dog, and other Senators put forward a motion "condemning" the murder of Boris Nemetsov, blaming the Russian government for the murder without a shred of evidence, and urging the jackboot Obama regime to increase sanctions, etc.

Meanwhile, the unreported "suicides" just keen piling up. (Sorry for the pun.)

Quote:

Meanwhile, in the same time period in Ukraine, outside of the pro-Russian area in the southeast, the following was reported:

  • January 29: Former Chairman of the local government of the Kharkov region, Alexey Kolesnik, hanged himself.
  • February 24: Stanislav Melnik, a member of the opposition party (Partia Regionov), shot himself.
  • February 25: The Mayor of Melitopol, Sergey Valter, hanged himself a few hours before his trial.

  • February 28: Mikhail Chechetov, former member of parliament, member of the opposition party (Partia Regionov), “fell” from the window of his 17th floor apartment in Kiev.
  • March 14: The 32-year-old prosecutor in Odessa, Sergey Melnichuk, “fell” to his death from the 9th floor.

The Partia Regionov directly accused the Ukrainian government in the deaths of their party members and appealed to the West to react to these events. “We appeal to the European Union, PACE [Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe], and European and international human rights organizations to immediately react to the situation in Ukraine, and give a legal assessment of the criminal actions of the Ukrainian government, which cynically murders its political opponents.
