Are you saying I am not allowed to make that argument because I used the term "hoodwink"? It's certainly no more offensive than comparing Trudeau to "a cheap suit".

I'm saying you are a dishonest individual who came to this board announcing "I love Trudeau and I hate Mulcair" and ever since then you have worked backwards from that position twisting logic to try and reinforce it.

And I think you are an arrogant self-delusional pseudo-progressive trying to assuage your guilty conscience for being priveleged but that really has nothing to do with the topic at hand so maybe we could leave the personal stuff aside.

Concerning this thread:

http://rabble.ca/babble/election-2015/mulcair-and-ndp-try-to-hoodwink-ca...

and this Mod reaction:

Wow, another nasty partisan thread with an intentionally provocative, trolly title. Closing. If y'all really want to discuss Laxer's article, start a thread that's actually about that.

The thread is not about the Laxer article although two Laxer articles are cited.

Full Definition of HOODWINK
transitive verb
1
archaic :  blindfold
2
obsolete :  hide
3
:  to deceive by false appearance :  dupe
— hood·wink·er noun

In my opinion the NDP is trying to hoodwink progressives into believing the party is more progressive than it actually is.

Would it be more acceptable if the title were "the NDP is trying to deceive progressives" or is it that I can't present that argument at all?

In a second article that is not about Bill C-51 Laxer argues:

http://rabble.ca/blogs/bloggers/michael-laxer/2015/02/do-we-really-want-...

Voting NDP endorses Mulcair's and the party's profound cynicism and opportunism and the party's retreat from anything close to an anti-capitalist vision.

In my view the NDP executive is trying to decieve progressives into thinking they are far more supportive of progressive ideals than they actually are.

Are you saying I am not allowed to make that argument because I used the term "hoodwink"? It's certainly no more offensive than comparing Trudeau to "a cheap suit".

This is the best banana muffin recipe ever.

Quote:

Banana Muffins (makes 12 muffins)

3 or 4 Large bananas, mashed (the more bananas the moister, so I use 4)

1/2 cup white sugar (original recipe calls for 1 cup, but I don’t like them too sweet)

1 slightly beaten egg

1/3 cup melted margarine or butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups flour

Mix the mashed banana, sugar, egg and margarine together. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour. Mix wet and dry ingredients all together! Pour into greased muffin tins, and bake in 350 degrees F oven for approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy!

*These are much more flavourful the next day, and they freeze very nicely too!

*Also, if you like walnuts, you can throw a handful of those in there as well for some added flavour and texture, or try adding chocolate chips, or better yet, BOTH! Yum :-D

Closing. Again.
