Why is this in the "Election 2015" thread, exactly?

I think this story belongs in anti-racism.

I think this is a non-story. But I moved it to AR anyway, now our catch-all for stories with something racist in them, rather than a forum where we discuss how to eliminate it altogether.

I thought the story was worth a mention -- Pondering disagreed when I put it in the Trudeau thread. But I don't see how it merits being in three places including a thread of its own. Not every news story worth a mention should have a thread of its own.

There are already threads available-- Trudeau, election, regional election threads for example. This kind of thread proliferation just for a minor news story is making this section more unmanageable. (Discussions that are already ongoing with respect to this story) are presumably expected to be repeated across three threads -- or missed in two out of three.

I appreciate you posting these stories, I really do. But I glance at all new posts in this forum as do others I think. It is not helpful to see the same story posted three times. For myself, I would rather that you post each story once in a relevant thread rather a new thread and cross posting like this. By doing it only once, you might even have time to post another story that otherwise we may have missed. Posting something multiple times to make sure people cannot miss it is offensive to those who already spend the time to read your posts.

Note: Crossposted with Catchfire

I agree with Sean. But you can only spend so many nights yelling at the ocean before you realize the tide comes in and out twice a day no matter what you do.

I'm fine with closing this thread.
