Impending attacks on the surging NDP

Its weird they didn't include the costs of things like the NDPs cut to small business taxes and the innovation tax credit, but they include things like fixing EI, the costs of which would be payed for by the EI fund, and Mail Delivery which comes from Canada Post, not general revenue.

Also it doesn't account for cap and trade, which would add more then enough revenue to pay for the Enviromental Costs, plus disaster prevention and more besides.

It also doesn't include elimating the stock loophole or the programs to help poor families that money will be spent on.

The Cons (and maybe Libs) are perhaps setting the stage to attack any NDP policy on cap and trade.  They've often talked about "carbon pricing schemes" raising costs for consumers.

Both the Liberals and Conservatives are well past any "setting the stage" and pulling out all the stops to distort and attack anything Mulcair says and any NDP policies they can find a way to take a few cheap and disingenous shots at.

It's also only too obvious that the trite and simplistic narrative that only one or the other of them knows what's best for Canada and Canadians has fallen flat on it's face, whether it comes from them or a bought and paid for media or roving gangs of paid trolls and shills on the net who do nothing but parrot that same worn out line.

The swing to the right has gone as far as it's going to go. Too far, in fact, with the thinly-veiled and successful attack directly on the Charter that the Liberals were just as plainly in favour of passing as the Cons because they know where their bread is buttered and they are nothing if not obedient servants to the same cabal of rich elitists who paid and put the Cons up to it and them to endorse it in an effort that failed to make it look more credible only because Mulcair stood fast and pointed out the kind of harm that could be inflicted on anyone who dared to disagree with this or any future government with virtual impunity and woke a lot of people up to the truth of that.

The only difference between the Liberals an Cons is that the Cons are smug and actually proud to openly serve that wealthy cabal while the Liberals unfailing put on a long, sad face and say... "Gee, we're awful sorry about this... but it's for your own good." before sucker-punching the public in the very same fashion and even on the same issue.

We're a patient and laid-back people who put up with a lot of crap before we finally put our foot down but there are some lines and limits that we won't tolerate being crossed and we've seen more than enough of them that have to finally take the main offenders to task in a way they won't soon forget in this next election if we have our way about it.

It isn't what Mulcair or the NDP are. It's what the Conservatives and Liberals have both become... faithless, self-serving and blatant abusers of the power and authority we have entrusted them with. Hired hands of those who are the least and last to ever have to worry about having enough money to do just about anything they please while millions of Canadians struggle with the everyday necessities of life and worry about what will become of their bright, well educated and willing to work kids as their prospects for decent and steady employment get sucked right down the drain for higher corporate profits outside of Canada and bigger dividends for an already wealthy investor class that both the Liberals and Conservatives are in thrall to.
