Is Clinton being under FBI investigation starting to become as big a problem for the Democrats as Cruz's being born in Canada has become for the GOP? Sanders is not touching it but Trump sure as hell will and already Trump's attacks on Bill Clinton's issues with women has had a serious impact on Bill's popularity.
Democrats
According to Ann Selzer it is neck and neck in Iowa for the Democrats 45% to 42% for Hillary.

I don't read their politics that way at all. The only ones who take the email charges seriously against Clinton are rabid righties who would never support her anyway. And likewise for Cruz, there's nobody who will turn against him on the question of being Canadian because his support is only rabid right non-thinkers anyway.
What will probably make the biggest difference in whether Clinton makes it all the way is whether the R's can get their ducks in a row and make Rubia their man. Then I would say that Rubio goes all the way.
The most important attribute for a candidate in US politics is good looks. That's nearly as true for politics in many countries and the Conservatives knew that in our election. Never bet against the guy with good looks.
George Soros, Haim Saban Give $12 M To Clinton Campaign

"Clinton has written a letter to Saban pledging to speak out publicly against the BDS campaign aimed at Israel."
Sanders was about 16% behind Clinton in the December polls and now the latest Des Moines Register poll shows him only 3% behind. That is a remarkable narrowing of the gap for Sanders. Even if Sanders doesn't get the most votes tonite he will still be very much in the game.

Obviously it is a tie in Iowa which is huge for Sanders
Will O'Malley supporters move over to Bernie now?
82% of Democratic Caucus goers in Iowa feel Sanders is more honest than Clinton
The final for the Dems.
Clinton 701
Sanders 697
So close that there's lots of room for speculating on some cheathing going on for Clinton. Considering that, according to a lot of the political pundits, the appearance of a win is very important, even though it's really a tie. And everybody should also know that Clinton declared victory with 10% of the vote outstanding.
Other evidence to support that suspicion is that their whole system is corrupted by the establishment.
A coin-toss broke 6 ties between Clinton and Sanders last nite in Iowa. I wonder what the odds of winning all 6 coin tosses are.

The ability to overcome all odds. It's what America stands for...
I agree with this but apart from the right-wing yahoos at Politico, etc. not many are saying this. Does Clinton have that much control over the ainstream press

That makes it sound like Clinton has to have control over the MSM. She doesn't, they already have their own agenda and it's solid Clinton of course.

You seem to have inverted the roles. Clinton is the puppet of the ruling American oligarchy including its corporate controlled and tightly held MSM.

IN any case, the MSM has their own agenda which is solid establishment and they don't need Clinton to tell them anything about who to support. They ain't gonna support Sanders. With Trump, the rabid right is frothing at the mouth so much that they would support Trump if they get backed into a corner. Would they turn to a Dem to support?
Nice scene right now on CNN with Obama celebrating the the NBA champion Oakland Warriors
Speaking of pictures, does Hillary have a Donald Trump problem?

The Des Moines Register is correct in calling for the Democrats to release all their voting details in the Iowa Caucuses because imagine the problems down the line if Clinton were to win the nomination by just a few delegates.
But don't worry, Hillary is progressive!

Hillary and Bernie are debating live right now on MSNBC who are live streaming it on their website.
Hillary is a shrewd debater but Sanders is by far the most effective as he has turned the debate in his favour as it is all about the rich against the poor so far.
NBC/WSJ NH poll
Candidate / Jan 28 / Feb 4 / Change
Sanders 57% / 58% / Up 1%
Clinton 38% / 38% / No Change
Sanders just went on a major rant against all of the free trade agreements including the fact that he was on the picket line against NAFTA. Very powerful.
On the question of what you would do first if elected President Sanders was brilliant once again:
Sanders said he would reform the electoral system to stop the rich from buying the election, and that he would reform the tax system to redistribute the wealth in America.
Sanders on the Death Penalty: The Government should not be in the business of killing people.
That was a good debate.

I’m a bit more cynical, I suppose. As a Michigander, I’m really happy that presidential candidates are visiting and talking about Flint. But the timing is unusual — you don’t usually take off on the Sunday before the New Hampshire primary — and it seems like a way for Clinton to lower the media’s expectations for how well she’ll do on Tuesday.

The mods got him on the antiwar questions though. Because they knew that he couldn't go antiwar because Americans wouldn't accept it. So Clinton had a fine time telling how she would continue the wars and wouldn't normalize relations with Iran, and all the good talking points that make Clinton so preferable as a president. (sarcasm)
What I want to know is whether the people on this forum will give him a pass for saving his skin? Because ya see, it kinda ties in with my main issue here in Canada a bit.

How many people or what per cent in Congress besides Sanders voted against Bush's Iraq War?
How many people or what per cent in Congress besides Sanders voted against Bush's Iraq War?
It passed in the Senate by a vote of 77 to 23, and the House by 296 to 133.
Bernie Sanders has all the upsides and all the downsides of a political outsider. Hillary Clinton has all the upsides and all the downsides of a political insider.
That was the main takeaway from MSNBC's Democratic debate on Thursday, which was the best debate, on either side of the aisle, aired during this presidential cycle. With Martin O'Malley out of the race, it was down to Sanders and Clinton. Both candidates turned in their finest, most contrasting performances of any debate yet — and they offered voters a very clear choice on their different visions of how politics works.

Who does Hillary think she is kidding?
Finally we have a politician who is talking about the main issue in our lives.
Bernie's message of corruption and the ripoff by the rich and powerful, and healthcare and education for all, is resonating with a lot of Americans.
