Bernie Sanders Makes Progress, But Hillary Clinton Remains The Favorite

So much for one person one vote!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Party_presidential_primaries,_2016
I am a Bernie supporter but I think he is finished. If he won Nevada and SC it would mean that he made signficant inroads into the minority voters. At that point I would see Bernie winning the nomination even with the superdelegate problem. But with his momentum stopped which was critical for the campaign. Hillarys machine and democratic party establishment wil grind him down. And deathbow will be superdelegates which will vote 20 to 1 for Hillary. I believe I Bernie heard say that he winning the nomination will be the biggest comeback story in American history. I agree with the scale of challenge but I question the outcome.
After Nevada Democratic leaders will clapping themsevles on the back because they have pacified the revolt agaisnt the party leadership and structures of power in the party. But their celebration will prove to be hollow because Hillary will lose to Rubio and even Trump. At this point she should stop attacking Bernie let the attacks come from sorrugates that are only loosly tied to her. Bill and her daughter should start talking about her strengths and totally ignore Bernie. Bernie has brought alot of new voters in the party and she needs their help win agaisnt the Republicans. Insulting Bernie and making his supporters angry is only counter productive. Unfourtunely for the Democractic party a significant numbers of new comers came for Bernie and his character/ideas rather than the democratic party. If Hillary gets half of those votes she will be very lucky. Without the support she will lose. As things stand either Trump(will win the R nomination I think) or Rubio will win.
So much for one person one vote!
How so? Who's getting two votes?
Or do you mean that the average, non-affiliated voter doesn't get to vote in some primaries? Given that primaries are basically a party's way of choosing their candidate, I'm actually MORE surprised when some states do allow the electorate-at-large to help choose.
Here in Canada, our parties choose their candidate for office by way of a leadership contest, and it's most certainly not open to everyone.
Samders has 151,000 votes compared to Clinton's 95,000, yet they are tied in the delegate count
The Liberal Party of Canada opened its leadership to all Canadians who wanted to vote. It was an anomaly, but not impossible for the others. Extending Party democracy to the population is not good for parties run by cabals and autocrats.
The Liberal Party of Canada opened its leadership to all Canadians who wanted to vote.
Can you tell us more? When was this, and was there in fact a polling station in my neighbourhood where I could just walk in and vote? I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I don't remember seeing any "Vote Here" signs.
- January 14, 2012: Liberal biennial convention adopts proposal for a new "supporter" class of non-members who will join members in the right to elect the new leader.[2][19]

Trump, always the entertainer.
GOPers must feel it is ok to do this to others but it's not quite so much fun when it is being done to themselves, eh!
At least Trump is not suggesting Rubio is an 'Anchor Baby" or is he?
Trump questions Rubio's eligibility
He has repeatedly done the same with Ted Cruz.

OK.
Is this "supporter" class made up of everyone who's not a party member?
Or else how shall this "supporter class" prove their support?
So is it a GOP wrap for Trump now?
Trump Optimists And Trump Skeptics Are About To Go To War

Trump got 50 delegates out of 50 delegates in South Carolina last nite as it is a WTA state for the GOP.
All you had to do is register on the Liberal website as a supporter, and they gave you an electronic ballot. Trudeau got some 68,000 votes in the process.
The Republican ccandidates are so outrageous that no matter who they choose, Trump, Rubio, or Cruz, the election should be a cakewalk for Clinton.
Trump got 50 delegates out of 50 delegates in South Carolina last nite as it is a WTA state for the GOP.
Winner take all by congressional district. Which means Trump had to win each of the seven congressional districts in order to get all the delegates. Which he did.
Evangelical Christians are a quarter of the U.S. electorate. In South Carolina’s exit polls, people who described themselves as born-again Christians (who may not always be or call themselves evangelicals) made up72 percent of Republican primary voters, a record turnout for this group. Evangelical support for Trump has risen from 21 percent in Iowa to 28 percent in New Hampshire and now 34 percent in South Carolina. Nonetheless, by the luck of the draw, after spending hours at several polling places in the greater Charleston area, I ended up speaking with Trump voters, evangelical voters and non-evangelical Christian voters, but I found no evangelical Trump voters.1

And evangelical Christians love this guy who obviously was trained for politics by Nixon's ghosts.

Good summary
The terror of a dominant Trump
The scariest thing about Trump’s primary dominance: The GOP still doesn’t understand the monster it created
In many ways, Trump's rise to GOP superstardom was inevitable. Yet establishment Republicans still don't get it

ANother Maggie Thatcher, just what we need.
Hillary’s about to get away with a stiff-arm: She needs to fundamentally rethink her policies — and we need to demand it
This was the year to demand more than someone marginally better than the GOP, and to push to build on Obama years

Wow is right!
Cruz has no choice as he finally got caught in his lies by an actual video which shows exactly what was said
I don't think Cruz knows how to open his mouth without lying.
Trump's response should be a hoot.

And here it is.

Wow, Ted Cruz falsely suggested Marco Rubio mocked the Bible and was just forced to fire his Communications Director. More dirty tricks!

It is so important to audit The Federal Reserve, and yet Ted Cruz missed the vote on the bill that would allow this to be done.
Are the Democrats seriously underestimating Trump?
Some believe he will go on to win the Presidency with one of the highest voter turnouts ever because Trump has well learned the art of persuasion
A participant at CNN's Town Hall meeting speaking to Sanders tonite said she has been a Democrat all her life but that she has been waiting all her life for a liberal leader like Sanders. The term social democrat has been so abused in the USA that its citizens are afraid to use it it seems.
My hunch is if Clinton's Wall Street transcripts were released she could lose the nomination to Sanders. By not doing so however Clinton's distrust meter is climbing which already is an issue for her.
CNN projects Trump wins Nevada
GOP Nevada Caucuses
Tues, Feb 23, 2016
30 delegates at stake
Results so far:
Trump - 42%
Cruz - 22%
Rubio - 23%
Kasich - 3%
Carson - 10%
Bush - %
The GOP race is basically over as Trump now has a lock on their nomination.
42% (Trump) - 25% (Rubio) - 21% (Cruz)
This is a perfect storm for Trump as 2nd & 3rd places are basically tied so neither of these 2 clowns will withdraw
Democrats should be terrified as their control of the White House may be coming to an end sooner than they think.
43 - 25 - 21 - 8 - 4
Trump is moving in on almost 50% of the vote with 5 candidates. Trump's strongest showing ever.
Now the BS will start in ernest from the Democrats saying they are not worried. There could well be a massive Presidential victory for the GOP this year.
I highly doubt that.

How about a compromise?
All you had to do is register on the Liberal website as a supporter, and they gave you an electronic ballot. Trudeau got some 68,000 votes in the process.
That's a lotta selfies he owes.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid endorses Hillary Clinton
VIDEO Interview:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/24/politics/hillary-clinton-harry-reid-endors...
Bernie has a big problem becuase he running agaisnt 2 people one official and unofficial. Hillary is the official rival but Obama is the unofficial rival. Bernie's message is that there are major problems with the economy but he can only go so far with that message. Bernie has to hold back from really opening a can of whipass on the system. Because Obama has been at the head of system for 8 years, how can he criticize that system that Obama has been running effectively without going after Obama. You can not because democracts voters are fond of Obama so Bernie is trapped in a box. Any move that tries to be critical of (policies that raise questions about how Obama's time is failure in office) Obama is used by Hillary to point out to the Bernie is not democract and he is not loyal to Obama. And worst any attacks on Obama no matter as mild makes it sound that Bernie supports the GOP. For better or worst Hillary is destroying Bernie on this issue as yet he has no answer. Hillary wrapped herself in the Obama legacy and move by Bernie open room between him and Obama is used by Hillary to attack Bernie as a disloyal to Obama and the democratic party.
If Bernie was running with GOP president in office he would destroy Hillary on the ideas. But Bernie can only go so far with critcism of the Democrat party and Obama. But Trump is railing agaisnt Obama and he does not have Bernie problem. Bernie is talking about SOME of the issues that Trump runs on and same thing can be said Trump in reards to Bernie issues. When Bernie talks about these issues is building a voting block that will utimately will be able to expolitted by Trump if he is the GOP candidate. This voting block(independents and some democrats) I think will side with Trump over Hillary. I believe he is better prepared to deal with Trump is the general but is trapped in box in Democratic nomination run. I really hope that he can pull this off but this fundenmental problem has to addressed I am not bright know to figure out how. Although I have heard surrougates of Bernie using similar talking points in the interviews talking about that criticism of system that Obama ran is not an attack on Obama.
Sanders draws thousands in Missouri and Oklahoma as Clinton stays put in South Carolina

After the victory in Nevada Trump cannot be written off as a joke any more. It is still somewhat troubling that white supremacist groups are robocalling for Trump and he is doing nothing to stop it.
