*Two* times in a row. The third time (2007) they retained the OPS they gained and bolstered through byelections, but came out flat in terms of byelection-bolstered seat numbers.

So, the HamsterDems never surfaced above 10 seats--which itself would have been below OPS in 1999, except that their 9-seat total that year led to their successfully pitching for a lower OPS benchmark...

In the "comments", Clyde Mobbley (someone by that name was dumped as NDP Muskoka-Parry Sound riding association president for calling on members to vote Green in the federal election) asks whether DiNovo supports BDS. The site owner, "Chris Franklin" (who says he has nothing to do with DiNovo or the NDP!), replies: "yes", and refers (without a link of course) to "the article in the torontonian" (whatever the hell that is). Of course, he's lying, or deluded.

Very sad. I wonder who the sucker is who gave $10?

If she can't speak French that should be a deal breaker. As for any candidates attitude towards Israel I am hoping for someone who supports the various UN resolutions on the occupied territories, Gaza etc. That unfortunately seems to be a high bar for this country.

I was being a bit facetious when I made the post, which I kinda regret. Yeah, Cheri DiNovo doesn't want donations. She's going to do it without either incurring expenses or accepting donations until the NDP sets the registration fee to something she deems reasonable and/or until someone else who's worthy steps up and takes over the progressive mantle from her. I think. Anyway, I'm almost certain she has no interest in this time in receiving donations.
