Slow news day, so I just thought I'd let you know.

Mr. Magoo

Did Clinton high-five him back, or did she leave him hangin'?

Well, he didn't exactly endorse her, he just said that he would probably vote for her (mostly because Trump would be a lot worse). But he still wants to change the Democratic Party and the U.S. in lots of ways that she disagrees with. Not quite a high-five moment.

I know this is a technicality, but Clinton still is not the nominee, and should an FBI indictment take place, there is a good chance that Bernie will be nominated instead.

Besides, if he was playing this in the usual way, he would have fallen in line by now. He is playing this to get leverage for whatever policies he can get, and that was always his goal. He also knows that there are a good number of his supporters who will never vote for Clinton under any circumstances.

...thanks for the reminder...this is a real and growing possibility, and if the corruption in the judicial system manages to deride the investigation?
Will this catalyse open revolt? Third party candidates with grwoing appeal?

The situation is far too unpredictable...

And if Clinton is the candidate? Trump will roast her with the details? And if she wins? A totally corrupt president in the eyes of maybe the vast majority?

Whatever way you look at it...this election will produce calamitous political changes in the USA!

And in Canada, with our leaders in govern}ment, opposition, the media and intelligentsia hanging on to the coattails of the US establishments soon to be totally discreditted?

Sanders did take some flack for running on the Democratic Party ticket but om so doing performed a major public service. For too long they have gotten away with not standing for anything and not even themselves knowing what they stand for. Sander's candidacy has forced them to clearly side with the 1% or the 99%, and they chose wrong. And all the organizing that went into Sander's campaign is a useful learning experience for what comes next. Of course it's time to abandon the Democrats, and I hope that abandonment would involve people like Nina Turner, Tulsi Gabbard, and Allan Greyson leaving the party and helping out.
