Going from bad to worse for the jackass who women apparently don't like that much,

Sen. Susan Collins says she won’t support Trump for president

Maine's Republican senator writes an opinion column on why she won't vote for her party's presidential nominee.

“My conclusion about Mr. Trump’s unsuitability for office is based on his disregard for the precept of treating others with respect, an idea that should transcend politics. Instead, he opts to mock the vulnerable and inflame prejudices by attacking ethnic and religious minorities” Collins wrote in the column.

One of Maine’s most popular politicians, Collins has previously criticized the Republican billionaire but had said she was reserving judgment in hopes he would refrain from the politics of personal attacks, name-calling and misinformation. Most recently she chastised Trump for statements he made during a Portland visit last week regarding Maine’s Somali-American population.

Hopefully enough Americans trash both Trump and the entire GOP

Hillary being assassinated would be terrible for Trump, for the exact same reason why Trump being assassinated would be terrible for Clinton. Clinton's liabilities are piling up, at this point literally anyone else in the Democratic party would be more likely to beat Trump in a GE than she is.

Speaking of Clinton's liabilities, are Wikileaks/Julian Assange no longer "respectable" sources around here? Nobody here is talking about either of the...problematic...pieces of information they revealed today.

NorthReport

Why doesn't Assange go back to Sweden if that is where it is and man up to the sexual assault charges against him?

Assange is no Snowden

It is one thing to release documents It is another thing all together to try and rig an election

Rig it? How? By informing the people of collusion between the DNC, the Clinton campaign, and the MSM?

God forbid Americans actually know the true character of the establishment they are voting for.

Informing the people is not "rigging" an election, unless you consider slanted reporting "rigging"...in which case, what do you call literally every mainstream media outlet in the U.S. (with the possible exception of Fox) which are (rightly or wrongly) very clearly anti-Trump and pro-Hillary.

Wikileaks: "Look what we found! Widespread collusion and potential voter fraud by the DNC and HC!"

NorthReport: "That's bad for Hillary! They're trying to rig the election!"

Mr. Magoo

Could a similar hack "rig" a trial?

"Never mind where we got this information, shouldn't it be about what this information tells us???"

Michael Moriarity

Criminal trials and elections are quite different events, and they are rightly subject to different rules.

Setting aside the standard comments about Trump there is a disconnect in politics right now.

Trump says he wants to deal with migration issues yet he does not believe in human-caused global warming. Today it is 129 degrees in Iraq. Significant parts of the world will be uninhabitable soon and the refugee problem will be much bigger and this migration will not be people wanting to leave their countries but those leaving because their countries will have been destroyed by global warming. They will be going to the countries they will blame for destroying their countries. When you think about the prospect of potentially billions of people justifiably angry leaving substantially populated parts of the world you have a migration issue no "wall" can address.

It is past time for people to be disqualified for any leadership or public office just based on climate change denial.

In Trump's case there are so many other reasons to declare him unfit but this one is not getting the importance the world needs. If the people of the rich parts of the world will not even consider their children when they vote, perhaps those children  age 10 and up should have the vote if adults cannot do a better job than they. The average 10 year old seems more aware of the importance of climate than most adults.

Mr. Magoo

Because he wanted to show other Trump supporters how much a few suckers can do.

This is not true.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-secretservice-idUSK...

A federal official on Wednesday said the U.S. Secret Service had not formally spoken with Republican Donald Trump's presidential campaign regarding his suggestion a day earlier that gun rights activists could stop Democratic rival Hillary Clinton from curtailing their access to firearms.

But, I don't blame you for believing it, because Google is censoring the story and pushing many spinoffs of the original, debunked, CNN story.

josh

Did you see the words, "not formally"?

So they've spoken informally then?

josh

That's the clear implication.

So when the U.S. Secret Service speaks with a campaign "informally," what does that look like? Who at the Secret Service makes that call? Does it get authorized? Do they tell the media about their "informal" correspondence? Who decides if they go with "formal" or "informal" correspondence?

josh

I guess the secret service decides what's formal and what's not informal.

NorthReport

The Secret Service have spoken twice to Trump's campaign team about Trump's assassination comments.

Quote:
"There has been more than one conversation" on the topic, the official told CNN. But it's unclear at what level in the campaign structure the conversations occurred.

The campaign told the USSS that Donald Trump did not intend to incite violence, according to the official.

I don't believe in the "Clinton body count", I refuse to believe that they are that bad. But this is actually the fourth confirmed death, John Ashe died in June when he dropped a Barbell on his neck (the day before or the day of giving an interview/testifying about dealings between Clinton and a Chinese billionaire) and Victor Thorn (who wrote anti-Clinton books and other conspiracy theories) was found dead of a "self inflicted" gunshot wound on August fourth.

Snopes argues it's just a coincidence here: http://www.snopes.com/2016/08/10/4th-mysterious-death-connected-to-the-dnc/
