Take for example the death of John Ashe

jambo101 jambo101's picture

She certainly is the brunt of a very successful smear campaign,to the point its now a given that she is crooked, corrupt, evil, some one not to be trusted etc. facts be damned, from the Trump camp a brilliant example of character assasination. However the tactic is backfiring as Trump and his supporters look foolish  mean spirited and vindictive with their never ending diatribe of hate venom and vitriol directed at Hillary Clinton.

NorthReport

Mulroney always said if you throw enough mud against the wall some of it sticks

Trump though has one ugly personality and is surrounded by the sleazebags of US politics who are there for one reason only and that is to rob blind the US treasury Trump's jacking up the rent in his building five fold to his campaign office is just a minor blip compared to what would happen should he become President
Emulating Russian President Putin who is reported to be the richest man alive is probably Trump's wet dream

Unfortunately even if he doesn't get the White House, Trump and his cronies have a media plan the likes of which have never ever been seen by Americans

Odd that you would post a dozen negative links regarding Hillary Clinton then say you will be voting for her.

Obviously those are just conspiracy theories, and conspiracy theories are never, ever true. NorthReport just posted a dozen links showing how stupid Clinton detractors are.

I think NorthReport opened this thread to show the sheer quantity of conspiracy theories and lies being told about Clinton. He's merely giving examples, as well as debunking them. He's not posting them approvingly. Just want to ensure you don't misunderstand his motives here.

Analysis | Hillary Clinton's 'difficult relationship with the truth' dogs her campaign (cbc.ca)

I think that 'Analysis' is CBC-speak for 'opinion piece' but I am not sure.  I'll be careful to not ask too many questions here, so as not to be labelled a 'conspiracy theorist' whatever that means.

Julian Assange: Choosing Between Trump or Clinton is Like Picking Between Cholera or Gonorrhea (democracynow.org)

kropotkin1951

My distrust of Clinton has nothing to do with conspiracy theories it has to do with her world view. Yes I admit it, I really, really dislike her because of her American values. Here she is explaining them in her own words.

That's fair, kropotkin. It is this other stuff that is sheer nonsense.

And regarding difficult relationships with truth and lies:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/lists/people/comparing-hillary-c...

As for Julian Assange, his own statements regarding Trump and Clinton have discredited any pretense that he sees this as an equal choice. He is gunning for Clinton, despite any claims he sees them as equally bad.

By all means, ask questions.  Just not STUPID ones.

It means asking the stupid ones.

And as the posts above suggest, Snopes.com can be your friend in this... assuming they haven't been turned!

Here's a thread on babble, decrying the way that the internet provides a vast market of k00Ky ideas for k00Ks to choose from in order to validate their k00Ky beliefs (but with the authority of an internet blogger!).

And at the same time, TIL (Today I Learned) that:

- Hillary Clinton has a mental illness that she's not disclosing!

- My hydro Smart Meter may be monitoring me!

- Trump is actually working for Hillary, to help Bill save his marriage!

... and that's just TODAY.

Those wacky conspiracy theorists at the G&M appear to have fallen for some wacky conspiracy theories about Hillary's distanced relationship with the truth:

I mean, how k00ky is that?

Mr. Magoo

Oh, heavens.  Did she run an e-mail server or something?

That's really not a conspiracy.  Unless the server software was written by a Bilderberger.

Here's a thread on babble, decrying the way that the internet provides a vast market of k00Ky ideas for k00Ks to choose from in order to validate their k00Ky beliefs (but with the authority of an internet blogger!)......

....this is what I would call political correctness...anyone with an opinion based on some evidence is kooky if it is not politically correct within a confined collection of mythical beliefs...

rather if you disagree with a position demonstrate its falsity with facts not statements of outrage based on political correctness!
I consider this McArthyist type slanderings...

e.g. anyone who would deny the fact that Hillary Clinton was hospitalized for 6 months, the basis for claims of her potential mental condition is a kook!

Mr. Magoo

That's not how it works.

If I suggest that the moon is actually a huge hologram, we don't assume I'm right (or even that I have an equal chance of being right) until such time as you or someone else proves to me that it's made of rock.

You want me to not snicker at Hillary's purported "mental illness"?  Then YOU do the work of showing that she has a mental illness.

Not that "she MIGHT have a mental illness".

Not that "nobody has proof that she DOESN'T have a mental illness".

Sorry if I'm taking your toy away, but the silly-ass nonsense is starting to drag the IQ of babble down into the double-digits.  There are enough real things to concern ourselves with and discuss; we don't have to start making stuff up.

The 26 Things Clinton "Could Not Recall" During Her FBI InterviewTyler Durden's pictureby Tyler DurdenSep 3, 2016 1:15 PM700SHARES Twitter FacebookReddit

Yesterday we asked whether the FBI just threw Clinton under the bus with the following statement which links Hillary's "inability" to "recall" her transition instructions with her 2012 concussion and blood clot (see "Smoking Gun? FBI Reveals Hillary Could Not Recall Briefings Due To Concussion, Clot"):

Clinton FBI - Concussin

But it turns out Hillary "could not recall" a lot of things about her tenure as Secretary of State.  In fact, during her 3.5 hour interview with the FBI, Hillary couldn't recall at least 26 questions posed by the FBI, at least some of which were fairly material events during her service which probably should have stood out.  Below is a list of just a couple of the things Hillary "could not recall.".......

...I could go on and on!

To dismiss this issue as kooky, what with so much information...(not trying to, I notice at least several messages a day on her mental failings...)when she could have her finger on the nuclear trigger is suspicious to put it mildly.....

Hillary couldn't recall at least 26 questions posed by the FBI...are you suggesting that this is not true? Okay what is your evidence?
Outrage and swearing is not enough....strikes me as attempts of censorship through political incorrectness...this must stop!

Mr. Magoo

1.  what does any of that have to do with a mental illness?  A concussion isn't a mental illness.

2.  does she still have a concussion?  Typically they're kind of like a sprained ankle... once you don't have one anymore you don't have one anymore.  It's not a lifelong chronic thing.

3.  I try not to rely on "zerohedge.com" for information.  Why would I trust any "journalist" who adopts the nom-de-plume of an imaginary character from the movie "Fight Club"?  Or, for that matter, a right-wing rag like zerohedge?

Again, sorry to be a wet blanket.

They needed to leave some to vote for thrm

NorthReport

And let's get real about all the nosensical garbage about her emails. With WikiLeaks and the Russian or whoever else's hacking, there are no more secrets. Privacy is an old 20th century expression that has rapidly gone out of fashion these days. State secrets my ass!
Isn't there anything else worth discussing in this election!

NorthReport

Good point. I forgot about that

And if they are killing people the way the right nut bars say they are, the least they could do is kill off all the GOP voters after all Trump did say he could walk down 5th Ave, kill someone (I presume he meant a Democrat) and not lose any votes.

Hey, if people are going to suggest with a straight face that Clinton is having her enemies murdered, how can it be "nasty" to talk about Clinton murdering?

I watched the video but I still hope she gets elected. She is epressing what you have to say to get elected in the US -- a point of view that is widely shared in that country. The US is a global bully. It has this sickening view and is globally dangerous. However, Trump, I think is worse.

The US will be governed by one nasty neocon or another. Both pretend not to be -- some of the time -- and while Clinton is only pretending to be progressive, she is slightly better than the other one.

Just the same on the environment. Neither of the two will do anything for the environment but at least Clinton admits it is a problem and that is the best we will get until New Orleans and New York are under water and they are diving to search for where Miami was.

My acceptance of Hillary over Trump is founded in my deep pessimism that this is the best the US can do right now.

The majority of Amercians are so disconnected from reality that they think the world loves them. In private their leaders know they are bullis but this is the crap they sell in what passes for a democracy. Americans also happen to think that the version of democracy they have is the best in the world except when they say that no we are not a democracy we are a republic. Like democracy sounds too much like democrat and republic like republican.

Don't get me wrong -- my opinion of overall humantiy is not that much better and I won't claim the average Canadian is that clued in either. Here we will have a government that will drag its feet about climate change until there are only 12 First Ministers and someone tells them that PEI does not exist anymore. Here too we think it is major progress when we have a PM willing to admit that Climate Change really exists.

What might be best for the planet would be if the rich countries elected a leader from the Maldives. Or if the Canadian parliament and the US Congress commit to holding sessions there. Move the UN there as well. It's five feet above sea level -- for now.

Yes, and I am tired of arguing with people who say that Clinton is so bad so hope for Trump. Clinton is bad but she is very close to the usual bad we expect from the US. Trump is a whole other brand of nasty.
